Yes! You may still select a pledge level at this link. It registers you to receive a survey when the rest of the surveys go out. Late pledges will close when we place our manufacturing order (in 30-45 days).

Can I still redeem my scholarship?

Yes! Please email [email protected] and we'll manually add your scholarship redemption to the system.

Can I join a Mercedes Lackey Discord server?

Yes... but not quite yet. We're working with the mods on an existing Valdemar fan Discord to launch a new, official Mercedes Lackey server! There will be two servers available to everyone in the near future: an official server and an unofficial fan server (where it's safe to post and discuss fanfic and fan art). Thanks for your patience while we prepare both servers for thousands of new members.

What's up with trivia? I have so many questions and comments.

We are working with BackerKit's resident trivia expert, as well as with BackerKit's dev team, to create detailed reports with all of the trivia results. Later this week, that will give us the data we need in order to answer your questions about individual answers. We also see some regret from people who got 17/18 answers correct. We will make decisions about what changes we could make to Loremaster credit eligibility (if any) after we have real data to work with. The trivia challenge was supposed to be difficult, with it taking a LOT of work to achieve Loremaster status in the book, but we also want it to be fair. Here are some of the options that we're considering:

Please let us know in the comments what option you feel would be the fairest. Not everybody will be pleased with whatever we choose, but remember that almost everyone who participated in the trivia answered enough correctly to receive the free Loremaster patch. Our feeling is that Loremaster credit in the book should be rare, difficult to achieve, and require active, intentional effort throughout the campaign.

How will you credit me in the book? What if my name is wrong on BackerKit?

There will be a survey question where you enter your name exactly as you want it to appear in the credits.

Is there any hope of reaching the album stretch goal?

While we didn't raise enough to make the full album, we did raise enough to start working on it. The dream is not dead, it will just take longer.

I got all trivia questions right, but it says I got some wrong. What's going on?

We have learned that trivia results are displayed very similarly, but reflect two different outcomes. (We're chatting with BackerKit about ways to improve the UI for future campaigns.)

"You got it right" means you got it right. "Correct answer" means you got it wrong. BackerKit will show a black line around your incorrect answer and highlight the correct one in green..
