WOW... we have to admit, we knew we were offering a GREAT set of AMAZING books by a MINDBLOWINGLY TALENTED artist, but we didn't expect such an exciting first day! THANK YOU!!! We honestly did not know what to expect from this new platform Backerkits is building, but we could not be more thrilled by your support and turnout! I'm sure it is 100% due in thanks to the wonderful books Georges created, but yesterday was the single best opening day we've seen on any of our 20+ Kickstarters, beating out THE MONKEY KING by just a few thousand dollars! (And MONKEY KING is our most successful campaign to date!)
We certainly don't want to get ahead of ourselves with undue expectations for the remainder of the campaign, however... we are nothing if not cautious and prudent. We just want to focus on making the best editions of these great books available. Having said that, however, YOU ALSO UNLOCKED FOUR STRETCH GOALS ALREADY! 😃
We have many more bonus stretch goals planned, including more material upgrades to the books, and more cool bonus items thrown into each purchase order. We will reveal them as each one becomes unlocked... no point in ruining any surprises, eh? 😉 In full transparency, we usually wait until the second day to gauge the pace of a campaign so that we can spread out the planned stretch goals to unlock every few days or so. This way, the campaign remains interesting throughout the middle weeks that usually drag a bit... (Somehow, though, I don't think this campaign will drag... 😉 )
We have just sent the completed interiors to Georges and Glenat for their notes and feedback, and as soon as they give us the thumbs up, we will share some completed preview pages. Georges also answered a bunch of interview questions for us which we are cleaning up now. We will hopefully have them ready to share in an update this weekend. So stay tuned! There is a lot of great stuff still to come!
