Project Update: We Did It! Smooth Seas Ahead ... 🚢
A Message from Patrick:
My thanks to you all for helping us fund! Even after all these parties (campaigns) each one feels personal and invigorating to me. Despite the potential anxiety that leads up to success, I anticipate these times with joy. Your support during these critical moments makes all of this possible. I love serving you and we are grateful for your continued support.
We have just returned from PAX Unplugged where we were very busy. We had a wonderful draft of Ahoy: New Horizons with us. We showed it to folks that stopped by the booth and people responded with enthusiasm. We also brought the production proof of Arcs with us. We showed it to people that stopped by and people responded to that with enthusiasm as well. Both projects had a surge while we were at the show, so it all paid off!
Now we are tired from the show. Nick can barely talk and claimed that he exchanged his voice for a good campaign. We are going to take a few days off, but we will be back soon making some of the best board games on the market.
We were on a pretty aggressive timeline to get this project going, while a lot of resources were still committed to wrapping up Arcs. I would like to thank everyone on the team for getting it together so well and so quickly. We could not have done it without you.
I would call out the following:
Nick Brachmann - The designer and developer of the expansion. He pitched this project to us not too long ago and he was instrumental in pulling it together quickly.
Brooke Nelson - Our marketing monster that worked tirelessly to get everything for the campaign and PAX U into their proper place.
Emily Mattingley - Framed up the early campaign page for us and set us up for success with foundational graphic design tasks.
What now? Now we'll be slowing down as we coast into the new year. We will be resting, refocusing, and getting ready for an amazing 2024! Please look forward to an update on this campaign in the new year.
In the meantime, you are invited to tune in to the December Design Chat on the 12th at 2 PM CT. Cole and I will be back to talk about PAX Unplugged, the newest Arcs production from the factory, and more. We won't have a lot to say about Ahoy, but we'll try to make it worth watching anyway.
Thank you and take care!
