Project Update: Playtest #8 Doc - Chimeric Cockatrice
The Chimeric Cockatrice is out! This includes an Elite CR 2 and Standard CR 2 creature.
Rules Updates
- Minor Dash was renamed Half Movement. Felt adding a term to half movement added complication, so we simplified.

Phase Resistance. We are currently experimenting with Phase Resistance! While the current version is fine, I feel there are some opportunities to find something better and more engaging.
- Phase Resistance can only be activated by using a Phase Action. It no longer activates at the end of a Phase Turn.
- Phase Resistance automatically removes 1 Condition that was inflicted without a saving throw.
- You can use Phase Resistance even if you're incapacitated, meaning paralyzed/stunned creatures can now attempt to break out of that effect.
- Need Feedback on new Phase Resistance Rules!! This is very important. Gathering DCs
- Gathering Rework. You can now make the creature's corresponding skill/tool check untrained vs. the DC of the material you wish to gather. If you fail, roll a 1d100 as before and gather that item. If you're looking for a group, feel free to use
