Project Update: Shipping Cost Calculations on Pledge Manager; Please Finalize by This Weekend

Hi everyone!

As you know, the Purple Planet pledge manager is live. We've done something that, as far as we know, is completely unprecedented in the history of RPG crowdfunding: multiple companies are shipping their products together, which means lower costs for backers.

It also means the most complicated shipping tables ever created. We forgot to clarify one important point when, last week, we announced that the pledge manager is live:

The shipping costs are still to be calculated.

As you no doubt noticed, your shipping costs in the pledge manager total to $0 right now. After everyone has completed the pledge manager - across all six participating publishers - we will lock the orders. Then our Shipping Math Guy is going to do a lot of complicated math, and we'll drop in the shipping costs. You'll get a chance to review the costs, then we'll charge cards.

In the Olden Days, if six publishers were running six pledge managers, you'd pay for six boxes being shipped out. Thanks to CRWN Fulfillment and the BackerKit Brains, we're able to get it all into one pledge manager and thus one box. Amazing? Yes. Unprecedented? Yes. Slightly more complicated than usual? Yes. And you'll save some money.

Let us know if you have any questions. We are hoping to run the Shipping Math right after Labor Day. So if you have not completed your pledge manager yet, please do so!
