Project Update: Outfit Sample Update!
Howdy everyone!
We took a little break from updates last week for Thanksgiving here in the States, but it’s good to be back and chatting with you again! ❤️
Over the past couple of weeks we’ve been busy working on clothing designs with our manufacturer, and I’m excited to share some progress with you!
As a reminder : these outfits are still works in progress! The designs you see here are first drafts to test patterns, so the colors and fabrics aren’t final yet.
Here's a look at Rowan's Outfit!
We’re experimenting with Rowan’s fur colors, so don’t mind his different palette for now! His clothes are coming along great though — the overalls are my favorite part! ❤️ I may adjust the sweater to a slightly lighter color, but I love the texture it adds. It makes the sweater feel extra special!
Next is Clover's Outfit!
I'm so pleased with how Clover's outfit is looking! The colors of her shirt and overalls are perfect, and all of her pockets are functional!
Now let's take a look at Briar's Outfit!
This is the first sample for Briar's outfit, so we have a few things to work on! Going forward I’d like to try a different color for the tee and adjust the pocket’s size and placement. After some thought, I’ve decided the tee’s pocket won’t be functional — it’s just too small to sew reliably without risking production errors. On the other hand, I love the color of the corduroy shorts! They’re slightly lighter than the concept art, but I personally think that compliment's Briar's colors better.
And lastly, a peek at Juniper's Outfit!
Juniper’s outfit is also in its early stages, but the pattern is looking good so far! We’ll be sizing down the sweater embroidery slightly and switching to a dark green fabric. The shorts will also be getting a fabric swap to a more appropriate material.Â

I wanted to share a couple of important updates regarding the clothing. Originally, we planned to use snaps for closures (seen in the photos above), but during the sampling process we discovered that snaps are too fragile and extremely prone to breaking. For safety and durability sake, we’ll likely make the switch to Velcro! I know Velcro isn’t everyone’s favorite, especially for those with tactile sensitivities, so we’ll aim to minimize its use. Alternatives like hook-and-eye closures wouldn’t pass safety testing, so Velcro is ultimately the best choice moving forward.
On a brighter note, we’re working to make as many pockets functional as we can! For example, Clover’s chest and hip pockets are fully usable. It’s a small detail, but I hope it’s one you’ll love as much as we do! ❤️Â
As for the plush, Willow, Rowan and Honey still need some tweaks, but we hope to have their completed samples ready soon! As for Cinder, we’re still waiting on their first sample because we requested some special furs that had to be ordered by our manufacturer.
🌱 That's all for now folks!
