Winner of a Cannes Lion in Digital/Social, Alan directs technology innovation at Into Film, a film education charity funded by the British Film Institute. Alan’s first career was as a marine zoologist, leading field research in Antarctica with additional field work throughout the Pacific Ocean from Canada to Chile and Hawaii to Tahiti. As a writer, Alan is the winner or finalist of a number of international script competitions, including the Special Jury Prize of the Barcelona International Film Festival. His writing has been praised by leading film industry professionals, including Oscar-winning editor of “Memento”, Dody Dorn, and Cannes-winning and “Mandalorian” director, Kim Richards.
