I'm popping in to update you on things as we head toward the end of February. January seemed to have lasted five years, while February breezed on by (as if soaring on the backs of dragons).
First, thank you for trusting in our project to bring our wonderful dragon collection to life. Pat yourself on the back! I'm still celebrating us and the community we're building around our shared love of pins and dragons.
Thank you for allowing these dragons to soar!
Now, on to what's happening next.
Smoke Test
On the backend, I've set up the pledge manager and I'll be initiating the Smoke Test within the next 24 hours. The Smoke test is when I send 5% of the surveys out to backers. Backerkit requires this, so that way if anything arises--any problems with the surveys, we can go ahead and fix it.
Once the Smoke Test clears, all the surveys will be sent out.
Surveys
The survey is super important and shouldn't be overlooked. This is where you: 1. Choose your pins from available designs; 2. Confirm your shipping address 3. Purchase any add-ons (or even help unlock any stretch goal pins, from the 3 pin designs we didn't have a chance to fund).
The survey will be open for you to complete until March 15th!
Errored Pledges
There are some error pledges, where Backerkit has not been able to collect your pledged amount. You can still correct your payment information and make payments through the survey.
Timeline
Our dragon time line!
Surveys will close on March 15th and all outstanding pledges will be processed by Backerkit. I will then use those surveys to move to production with the manufacturer, and order the necessary number. The goal is to ship all pins to you by May!
EBook add-ons will be sent after the survey closes in March and will be delivered by Bookfunnel.
