Project Update: Outside Entities, and Episode 2 of A Ravenous Hunger

Another stretch goal unlocked! Ken is thrilled to be busily writing up the 2e versions of gods and titans Daoloth, Iod, Mordiggian, Quachil Uttaus, and Y'golonac; plus creatures Avatar of Y'golonac, Lloigor, Nioth-Korgai, Sand-Dwellers, Shan, and the Very Old Folk. All backers at the Nightgaunt level and higher will get this wax museum of horrors as a free PDF after the campaign.

We've just added a new new £160,000 stretch goal - Singular Thirsts, a new scenario for the Shadows Under Chicago campaign frame, in which a crew of Windy City investigators discovers something more than usually wrong with the bootleg brew in the Bucktown neighborhood.

Your eyes take a moment to adjust to the dark inside the ruined church. A fire gutted the building decades ago, and all that’s left is stained stone and debris. There’s no sign of anyone. But you’d swear you saw someone watching you from the entranceway. A small figure, hunched, almost… no, that’s nonsense. You certainly didn’t see the Devil watching you from the door. You pace around the little church, making sure there are no other doors, no-one lurking in a corner or concealed behind a pillar. But the old church is certainly empty. A chill runs down your spine, as if there was something here, but it vanished into thin air. A strange thought intrudes upon your mind: that it’s not the mysterious figure that vanished, but you – that you’ve stepped across some unseen threshold into another world, a corpse-realm where it’s just you and the endless empty buildings. You envision yourself like Dore’s New Zealander, a lonely wanderer in some fabulous alien city. Then you glance over your shoulder and see Rose in the sunlit cemetery setting up her camera tripod. She waves at you, and the strange thought is banished as if by magic. How silly of you, to let a trick of the light disturb you so! You’re about to leave when you hear scuttling under the flagstones, like the rats that haunt your family library. Rustling and scraping – and then a voice. FRAER. Calling you from below. What do you do?
