A Twist of Fate - Part 7: The Chamber of Dice. Fenn steps through the doorway marked with a carved dice icon. The air crackles with energy, and the sound of rolling dice echoes eerily, though the room appears empty. At its center, a massive stone table dominates the space, its surface engraved with an intricate game board. A pair of oversized, glowing dice sit atop the table, each face flickering with shifting numbers. As Fenn approaches, a spectral figure materializes across the table—a translucent, robed dealer with a face shrouded in mist. Its voice resonates like the whisper of wind through hollow bones. “Welcome, seeker of fortune. To pass this trial, you must play the Game of Luck. Roll the dice, and your fate will be revealed.” Fenn raises an eyebrow. “Let me guess—low numbers mean bad things?” The specter nods. “Indeed. Roll well, and you may proceed. Roll poorly, and you may lose… everything.” Fenn looks at the glowing dice, weighing his options. “Alright, let’s play.” He picks up the dice, their warmth tingling against his fingers. But as he holds them, he notices four distinct markings on the board in front of him, each tied to a different outcome based on his roll.
