Project Update: Wasteland Degenerates JCE Post Campaign #15: Fulfillment Begins, and a Short Campaign Delay

Hey Degenerates,

Spent the last few days packing envelopes, then securing them with packing tape when the self-stick didn't work, then re-securing them when the amount of tape used wasn't sufficient.  Needless to say, I'm learning the hard way about fulfillment.

Today I brought the first hundred packages to the post office:
Glad I didn't throw out ALL of the boxes from my recent move...

I'm currently waiting on the delivery of more envelopes to continue sending them out.  I hope to send 200 more out on Tuesday 2/25, and the rest out on Friday 2/28.  To make sure I get the fees right, I'm starting with domestic and will move on to international when they're complete.

Campaign Delayed One Week

I very much don't feel right starting the campaign for the hardcover edition while folks are still waiting on the Jumper Cable Edition.  There have been quite a few delays, both from the printer and due to my free time after needing to go into the office full time at my day job.  The new start date of the Kickstarter Campaign is March 4th.  While not everyone may have their books by that date, I am very much hoping to have them in the mail.

If you haven't already, bookmark the project to get the Early Bird bonuses here.

Obligatory Project Shout-Outs

Just a couple this time!

You got your Forbidden Psalm miniatures in my Vast Grimm RPG!  Turns out it's two great tastes that taste great together! Brian Colin, who contributed to the Jumper Cable Edition, is always on the cutting edge of the MÖRK-O-SPHERE, and I can't wait to see this new project on my table!

Prince of Roses

You may remember the Slime King himself, Sebastian Barth, from last year's The Book of Bitter Biles.  His new project, Prince of Roses, is already fully funded, and I'm happy to endorse a fellow Minneapolis creator's stuff!

In Summary...

As I said before, I didn't want to delay the campaign, but more than that, I don't want folks to think that I'm stringing backers along on empty promises and/or funding the first campaign with funds from the second (I call that "pulling a Ninja Division").  I've had delays and setbacks, but... well, that's life, and you deserve to have peace of mind that your zines will arrive more than I need to have a timely campaign release.

I'll be in touch...
