Hello, friends! Phew this has been a wild project so far but here’s a hugeee update on our goodies~
〰️ Pin progress 〰️
All the funds were transferred to my account and we have already started the manufacturing process! 🎉 Thank you again and again for making this happen! It's so satisfying to see the pieces slowly come together. Here are some of my favorite pin photos from my manufacturer so you can see what I mean:
The Wild Duck looks so good!! I rarely do screenprints on pins due to its costliness but the effect of it here gives a softer illusion, which is nice. We actually ran into some issues with some of these browns, tans, and light peaches/yellows (which are the toughest Pantones to get right, it seems) but the main collection is just about finalized! Now we are currently working through some issues for glitter and chain pins, but I'll send out more progress pics when I'm finally happy with the results.
〰️ Timeline delays 〰️
We’re working with completely new techniques and record design quantities (due to this campaign’s order and other designs for SD Comic Con, my first major con), so I’ve been juggling way more files and emails than I anticipated. I really wanted to have all my designs approved by my manufacturer before sending out surveys (bc I’m a perfectionist, rip), but I don’t want to hold off on sending surveys any longer. I'll just continue to work hard to make sure the mocks you see are as close as possible to the final products. Thank you for trusting me with this!
I also want to apologize for delaying our initial survey timelines and not giving you a heads up! I got so immersed in the creation aspect of these products and designs but I'll do better for the rest of this campaign! I’ll share progress pics as we go and keep the timeline updated in real time. Lastly, even though our initial deadlines were delayed, we’re still good to go for our fulfillment month in October! I’m so stoked to see all these birds together.
