No estimates on when you'll finish shipping the $325 tier and start shipping the $250 tier?

Troy; I also appreciate how respectful and civil you have been in your responses as well. Across social media, and even in a few other crowdfunding campaigns, I've seen a number of people who take these discussions personally and choose to personally attack a person whose opinion they disagree with. I'm glad that the Nexus sale won't have as much of an impact on fulfilment of this project as Light Day did. With that said, I don't think any of these should have had an impact. I don't mind waiting; most of us know, from experience, that sometimes things take longer than expected, especially where crowdfunding is concerned. There was nothing that D$ could have done to plan for people taking ill unexpectedly or for their water main breaking (assuming, of course, it wasn't a maintenance issue). My take, as is the take of others who have voiced concerns, is that the company could have (and should have) planned for this to have it's own dedicated team that was separate from the main warehouse team. They knew several things going into this campaign: - They had a sale coming up for the holidays - They had a book release scheduled for December - Their previous crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter had 185,341 backers that pledged $41,754,153 plus whatever was added in the pledge manager (over 4,000% of their target goal). Plus, IIRC, this website literally crashed when this campaign went live because so many people tried to back at launch, so even ignoring everything they knew before, that should have been an indicator that they were going to need more staff. The people who are unhappy with the wait aren't disappointed/upset because they had to wait, they're disappointed/upset because they are, essentially, being told that they don't matter as much as other customers because D$ prioritises their website over this release. Regardless, you and I have different viewpoints (and everyone else here will have their own opinions on this matter, which will generally fall closer to one of these two opinions, if not something totally different). We can go back and forth like this until fulfillment is complete and neither of us will change the other's opinion nor will it speed up fulfilment. All I can do is hope that Dragonsteel will take critiques like this into consideration the next time they launch a crowdfunding campaign. Thanks for a great discussion. Have a wonderful day and I hope you enjoy your pledge. :)

Hi HyruleBalverine! Yes, that is true. The sale of Nexus merchandise will have an impact, but from Daniel's comment elsewhere in this post, the impact will be lower than that of Light Day. In addition, Nexus itself, the Christmas Break, the broken water main, and staff illnesses aren't factors in January. (At least I hope the staff doesn't get sick again!) My only point is that making future estimates based off of shipping speed in December is not reliable. To be fair, shipping going forward may not be like last week either, perhaps Nexus shipping will have a bigger impact this week. Still, the factors slowing down shipping now are significantly less than those in December and shipping in January & February should be quicker. The estimate given in this update is probably reliable, but being wary and distrusting of that is completely understandable! As a side note, I appreciate your comments and views. You are respectful, intelligent, and fair. We disagree sometimes, which is fine and normal. I am glad to hear your thoughts and perspective.

HyruleBalverine, I agree that the shipping of this project has been mishandled. I'm honestly shocked that Dragonsteel so badly underestimated the time it would take to ship so many larger, more customizable boxes (vs the Secret Projects smaller, standardized boxes). This definitely should have been done differently, and like you, I hope they take this and the critiques into consideration next time, to do better. I understand why people are unhappy and I think they have a right to be. I appreciate anyone sharing those feelings in a constructive manner, which most do. And I also agree that there is little to be gained by going back and forth over what was done, why it was done, etc. I have avoided commenting further on that sort of thing, since I think it is past the point of being helpful. (If it ever was.) Thank you to you as well! Enjoy your day and pledge too. :)

They are moving faster in January (now that holiday breaks, etc., are over) so I would not use the past 2 months to estimate how long the rest of the shipping will take. Given their estimate that add-on rewards will start in early Spring, which is 2-3 months away, then 4-6 weeks before they start shipping the $250 tiers is a reasonable conclusion. I think shipping was at 30% on Monday (I could easily be mis-remembering) and it is now 42%. 10% per week would fit that 4-6 weeks guess. (And it is only a guess, just to be clear.)

over 2 months working on the $325 tier and they are 42% done. So id say they will start the $250 tier in 3 months.

Except, Troy, now that the Nexus items are up, they're going to slow down again.
