While we said previously that we'd be taking a month between each Booster Pack update, due to some great work from playtesters and some faster then expected problem resolutions - we've been able to get everything ready a week earlier!
Before we get into that however, we wanted to give you all a short update on the situation regarding physical copies of Perfect Draw!.
Physical Copies Update
When we first started this crowdfunding campaign, we didn't expect to see nearly as much support as we did - so printing the physical books has been significantly more of an adventure then we expected. Our publishing partner is working hard to get everything going as soon as possible, but we're still facing delays from the printers due to material shortages. This makes it hard for us to give an exact estimate when you'll all get your books.
With that said, we do have a rather exciting update regarding the physical books that was impossible until we started working with Japanime Games. With the time we gained from the delays, we decided to spend some resources and get some of the incredible art Thunderderder made for the game coloured. This means that all physical copies of Perfect Draw! are going to be upgraded with a colour cover!!
We'll be updating the PDF version some time in the future with these assets, but that will likely happen some time further in the future after the physical books have shipped.
Charging Cards
With this all said, printing for Perfect Draw! is on its way, and that means we'll soon have to Charge Cards for Shipping Expenses. We'll be beginning this process starting in a few days so backers have time to update their cards if there are any issues. If you expect any issues or want to make any final changes to your shipping addresses, please get them resolved as soon as you can to make sure your book gets to you smoothly.
Changes in v0.5 of the Booster Pack
I'm excited to say that this is version of the Booster Pack is not only Content Complete, but is also The Last Version Before We Start Formatting. That means that next update you see should be at least partially formatted in a way similar to the the Core Book. With that all said, the changes present in the newest version of the Booster Pack are:
Various typos, formatting, and inconsistencies fixed.
New "bridging copy" added at the start of the PDF and certain sections.
"Roleplaying the" and "Running the" sections added for all 5 of the new playbooks.
Momentum Rules have been updated to be more exciting and have more back-and-forth.
