Project Update: New Digital Download & Shipping Charges

Hi all,

Just a quick update on a few things.

Pregen Errata

First, we caught a few errors with the FYOV Pregen Character sheets that made it into the manufactured version of the game. One error was just a spelling error for a name in the character descriptions in a few places, so no big deal. The other error was in the character description for Kirra in the Australia cohort, where Kirra's description was replaced with another character's. We have corrected the error in the pregen character print & play file and have uploaded the corrected version to your digital downloads in Backerkit (which you can access here: https://five-hundred-year-old-vampire.backerkit.com/). We have also added the corrected file as a free download to our product page on our website (here: https://cmichpress.com).

Shipping Costs

Second, we have pushed the date for charging shipping costs to Monday, October 7. You will receive a 48-hour notice from Backerkit directly about charging for shipping on Friday, October 4, but we wanted to give you a little more of a heads up. You can check your orders in Backerkit to see the shipping charges by going here: https://five-hundred-year-old-vampire.backerkit.com/.

Like we mentioned in our last update, the shipping costs for US backers ranged between $15-$20, with the vast majority on $15 (that's the base package of the game, the journal, and the expansion deck; higher shipping costs here reflects additional copies or other games added on).

Cost ranges for international backers vary by country. For instance, UK backers (our largest international cohort) have virtually the same costs as US backers (in this case, $15-$19.50) because our main fulfillment warehouse for international backers is in the UK. For other international backers, it varies by country, but the overall range is $18.50-$55, depending on which country and what's in the order. There are a couple of outsized shipping costs because of unusual circumstances (for instance, our Brazil backers have rather high shipping costs because our fulfillment warehouses cannot ship there at reduced rates for some reason, and there's one package to a German backer that weighs over 11kg, so will cost a lot).

Schedule and Port Strike

Once we charge shipping, our US warehouse is scheduled to start processing orders the week of October 14, so that's when we expect fulfillment to kick off in earnest. For international backers, we will have a bit of a delay because of the US port workers strike is triggering cascading shipping delays (we don't have our stock at the UK warehouse yet and are waiting on our fulfillment partner to gives us an update on those logistics).

Thanks all for your patience on everything. If you have any questions about anything, please ask.

Stay undead, everyone!
