Thank you to everyone that helped us make The Legend Of La Rosa Blanca a success here on ComicTopia!  We are really thankful to have fans who believe this will be a story worthy of being in your collections.  We think you are going to love this book and we can't wait to share it with you.

Now...on that front - we didn't get to the stretch goals we posted.  One of the big ones was that at $10k we would have The Legend of La Rosa Blanca colored instead of it being a B&W comic.  We really were hoping to get there because as much as we love the feel of B&W - nothing beats a really nice color book.  

So we want to ask this question to all of our backers.  Would you prefer that we go ahead and just print and ship The Legend of La Rosa Blanca as it was solicited in black & white?  Or would you rather see us list this on Kickstarter and try to achieve the stretch goals we set out to make?  Now to be clear - if we achieve the goal on Kickstarter all of our  BackerKit supports would ALSO GET THOSE REWARDS.  We would not even consider this unless each of you received the same benefit.  

So by this reasoning - if we ran the campaign on Kickstarter and it hit the stretch amount - all of the copies would be colored.  I should mention that if we did this - we probably would not be shipping until around December (assume 60 - 90 days for a colorist to complete it).  So the trade off is that it would take a little longer to get the books.

Anyway - we want to know what you think.  Please fill out the poll and we'll use our backer feedback to determine how to proceed.

We're in the final hours of the incredible ComicTopia program here at Backerkit!  The Legend of La Rosa Blanca has funded and we're striving to achieve our first stretch goal.  We'd like to ask everyone to please share out the project with comic collecting friends and family who might be interested.  Every share helps us to get the word out about this project.

Here's a fun thing we wanted to share with everyone.  This was the original character sketch that Gordon Purell did to start the development of La Rosa Blanca.  It's fun to see the genesis of this cool new swashbuckling character! 

Thank you ComicTopia fans!  The Legend of La Rosa Blanca has reached our funding level and we are making this new comic book!  We're excited that you'll be able to see the incredible work everyone put into making La Rosa Blanca.  And we're especially appreciative that you helped us make ComicTopia a big success!

Now we are focusing on our first stretch goal.  When we exceed $7500 raised we are going to add a collectors trading card featuring both versions of the amazing Lerix artwork! The two sided trading card will be something very special to add to your collection knowing you made it possible. 

We also wanted to let everyone know that we added a bunch of new add-on offerings based on fan response.  Many of our other swashbuckling adventure comics are now available as part of the project.  Please pop in and take a look to see if there are any back issues you need to fill holes in your collections.  The books are only available while supplies last.  We don't have much left of those books but we are happy to get them to fans who want them!

We also want to remind everyone that our cross collaboration partners - the folks at Dynamite - are still working toward funding.  If you purchase both La Rosa Blanca and the new volume of Karma you'll get two awesome extra items - full sized custom tarot cards featuring the Lerix cover art for La Rosa Blanca and the Stjepan Sejic cover art for Karma.  Two very cool collectibles!

 

Hey swashbucklers!

We are getting closer to funding on La Rosa Blanca!  Right now we are about $1725 away from making our goal and publishing this cool story.  It's no exxageration to say that the two Lerix covers may very well be some of the rarest ever from the artist.  We're excited to deliver this fun story with the wonderful cover options for all of our fans. 

We also have added a few new add-ons for fans of western action.  Check those out and see if there are some cool back issues that you can add to your collection.  Like all of our comics - these are impossible to find out there in the wild.  Print runs are very low and they are great books to have in your collection.  

ComicTopia rolls on and we are excited to cross the finish line soon!  We have some wonderful stretch goals we'd love to share with everyone.
