Synthetic brushes don't have to be cheap and disposable—in fact, they can be great. Minotaur Synthwave Brushes are a game changer.

I started Minotaur Hobbies as a way to give back to the hobby and community I love, and I wanted to offer the best possible painting tools imaginable. My first go-around was a line of sable brushes, which I thought were better than synthetics, and at the time, they were. Now, after two years of development, I can say that these synthetics are leagues ahead of anything else on the miniature painting market.

So what are synthetic brushes? In short, they're plastic bristles made from synthetic polymer. Like spaghetti, they're extruded through a die into long strands and cut to size. That means most synthetic brushes are too uniform, too smooth to hold paint like natural hair, and have a habit to warp and curl after use. If you've tangled with low-quality white nylon and yellow taklon brushes, you know plastic bristles don't hold up and often end up in the garbage after just a session or two.

These ain't like that, baby. We're talking specially-blended fibers, we're talking multidimensional filament, we're talking abrasive micro-grit for added surface tension. These brushes are built to better mimic real hair, and have every advancement in synthetic brushes all rolled into one. And! They're cheaper than natural hair and cruelty-free, which is awesome—awesome to the max!

Premium techno-synthetic brush set.

These brushes aren't made from your typical nylon synthetics, but a special process that incorporates blended materials, multidimensional filament, and a micro-grit agitator to give texture to the bristles to better hold and transfer paint and lend rigidity and snap to the brush, while still being soft and pliable—better mimicking natural hair.

Minotaur Brush Soap has become a favorite of professional mini painters. It also comes in an absolutely chonker 100g tub, so you won't run out and have plenty of surface area to clean and condition your brushes.

The dualblade paint spatula is here to help you with textured paints and glue, so you don't mess up your fancy Minotaur Synthwave brushes.
