Hi!

I'm Vanessa Perry, a speculative fiction author. I write horror and fantasy, and it's safe to assume I will eventually dabble in sci-fi. I am a later-in-life undergrad student majoring in English and plan to pursue my Master's in Creative Writing & Literature after. I am obsessed with studying literary theory and proving that the modern English student loves genre fiction and that it's worthy of academic study! I love folklore and, while I am reluctant to call myself such, I am indeed a folklorist by definition. More than all the things, I absolutely love books.

My debut fantasy novel, "In Roaring She Shall Rise" will release in Fall 2025.
