OUR STORY

A long time ago, in a galaxy far far away...... sorry its not that kind of story!  The idea to create "Its Been Emotional" started during our very own game night as a family with our two kids (aged 11 & 13) during COVID in 2020. 

To be honest it's not something we did all that often at the time- our kids were normally glued to their consoles or tablets. It felt like there was a distance growing between us, a daily routine that was becoming increasingly solo orientated and leading to less quality time as a family. 

One particular family game night we had spent the past couple of hours destroying each other - there was of course moments of tears (mostly mine!) and periods of JOY as tactical alliances came and went, ganging up on each other to crown a victor and then quickly playing another round or switching to another game. 

We had a great time and talked a lot about the different aspects of the game, mainly the fun characters or silly names with lots of comments about what cards could be added or changed to make them funnier and some of the characters we would like to see, there were many ideas floating around when someone suggested we should create our own game ... we all looked at each other and decided "yeah why not!" 

Having never done this before, we embarked on creating artwork, characters and game mechanics with numerous changes and redrafts until we were happy, we think we have made something incredibly fun and relatable. We hope you enjoy it.
