How does BackerKit crowdfunding work?
Crowdfunding is a collaborative way to bring ideas and projects to life. Project creators post their idea for a project, and backers pledge money to make the project possible. Backers get behind the scenes access and backer-only rewards, which can include exclusive products, special pricing, creative input, content, and more.
To become a backer, select a pledge level that features the reward(s) you would like to receive when the project is successfully completed and make your contribution.
All-or-nothing crowdfunding model: The creator sets a funding goal and a deadline to raise funds. If the project does not meet the goal by the deadline, backers credit cards are not charged and no money changes hands.
Crowdfunding projects can happen at various stages of the creative process. Make sure to check the estimated timeline of when rewards will be delivered. Project creators will keep you updated on the progress toward completion and delivery of your rewards.
Backing a crowdfunding campaign is not the same as purchasing an item from a store. When you back a campaign you are supporting the creation of something new. Rewards are almost always delivered, but are not guaranteed.
When will I be charged for my pledge?
Your payment method will not be charged right away. You will be charged for the amount of your pledge when the campaign ends and the project reaches its funding goal. You will not be charged if the campaign does not reach its funding goal.
What happens after the campaign is over?
The Creator will send out a survey that will ask you for more information about your pledge, your shipping information, additional items you may want to add to your pledge, and collect shipping fees if applicable.
The survey will be sent to the email address we have on file with your pledge.
Any additional payment will be charged when you complete your survey and confirm your order.

When Can I Vote On Sequel Packs?
After the campaign has ended, you'll get a link to a survey where you can vote. We're excited to see what you think!
Will the Game Look Like the Box In the Campaign?
No! We're currently using a sample mockup our illustrator did for the game, but the final one will be very different. For one, the box itself will be rectangular in shape, not square. Also, we're noodling some ideas for different designs. The swirl design in the mockup might be saved for our future Master Of Silliness kids game, and we want to make sure Master Of Innuendo looks different. We'd love to get our backers to help us choose the final box design! Stay tuned for more.
Will My T-shirt Be In My Size?
Yes! We're planning to have all the Master Of Innuendo T-shirts created specifically for each of our backers. This means that, as well as getting the size you need, you'll also be able to choose the color and pick between a few different designs! We'll be in touch about that once the campaign is over.
Is the Sticker On the Pledge Graphics the One I'll Get?
Maybe... We've got a few designs in mind, and since we haven't printed the stickers yet, we will let you vote on the one you like best! We'll be in touch about that after the campaign ends.
When Will I Get My Game?
Production and delivery times can vary, but we hope to get all copies of Master Of Innuendo and all bonus rewards and add-ons out to backers by the middle of 2024.
When Will I Get My Pre-Ordered Sequel Packs and/or Master Of Silliness box?
We hope to have pre-ordered Sequel Packs and Master Of Silliness kids' game boxes out to backers shortly after the Master Of Innuendo boxes. If we get enough orders, we'll be able to print them at the same time as MOI, which means you'll get them at the same time too! So tell your friends to pre-order those as well. :)
When Will I Know My Shipping Charge?
Shipping will be calculated and collected at the end of the campaign. Look for the charge in the Pledge Manager.
When Will My Pledge Be Charged?
The amount you've pledged won't be charged until the end of the campaign and ONLY if our goal is met. If our goal is not met or we need to cancel the campaign for any reason, you will NOT be charged. If you want to change your pledge or payment method prior to that, you can do it on your Pledges & Survey page.
What Happens If I Move Before the Rewards Are Shipped?
No problem! You can change your mailing address after the campaign ends in your BackerKit survey. If you need to update your address after the surveys are locked, email us at [email protected].
