Project Update: Campaign Critters Reroll Update: prototypes finishing up
Hey Folks,
I've been running around alot lately with travel and such, so updates have been a bit sparse, but there hasn't been a ton of news lately until now. We look to be finalizing prototypes finally. there was some tweeks we needed to do and some mixup on the manufacturing side of things. Our manufacturer wasn't clear on the fact we wanted the dragons to be the same size as last time, AND have the built in armature. but after some back and forth we got things worked out. hoping for some new images of the Starlight dragon here over the weekend. I hope to post a ton of images for yall on Weds once I get back from a trip to NYC. Can't go into details on that trip, but since we went to Licensing Expo things have been pretty busy as of late.
But we should be pressing go on things next week so we should be up and running with manufacturing the same time. I just wanted to make sure that we approved all prototypes first so there wasn't any confusions, which there were at first, so I'm glad I waited rather than pressing go. Sometimes that little extra time goes a long way in assuring that we make the best products for all of you as we can. Quality takes time so it's best not to rush things, else we get inferior products.
Makes me think of something I heard back in my days making videos games. Someone once told me there's 3 parts that must be balanced in order to make a successful product: Budget, Quality, and Time. One must be sacrificed in order to make the desired product. I've always been in the mindset that Budget and Quality are more important than Time. So yes, I've found it's better to take the time to do it right the first time, than to rush things and get things wrong. We actually had to completely remake a product once because we didn't take the time to triple check the product. That was the Rainbow Cheetah Tentacle Kitty actually. We did get them out to everyone, but the way they were manufactured wasn't what we planned, so we decided it was more important to redo them than to just allow the product to stay as a bad example of our quality. We sent out replacements for everyone who ordered one on the Kickstarter because it matters to us that much. In that case, we sacrificed budget instead of time.
Anyways I'm rambling! I'll have some new images and such here next week, so look forward to that!
Talk to you soon!
