I want to personally thank everyone who backed the project today. As of this first update, we have funded the first set - Nub Club. In my professional plushie opinion, that's amazing first day progress!!!

We still have three weeks to work on fundraising the next four pin sets: Fluffy Bugs, Dino Dogs, Fuzzy Fawns, Cozy Cubs, and some other secret hidden goals. That is more than enough time.

As mentioned in our project, all enamel pins come with a free matching code for an in game item. This includes your Dash/Taffy mystery pin from backing both projects. Here is a sneak peak of those items.

As promised, we will be going into depth about a single aspect of the game each day. This will help teach new players about Snoozelings while offering some fun insight to already experienced players.

Today we are talking about the main species: Snoozelings.

Snoozelings are plush-like magical creatures that are alive thanks to the special bond between them and dreamers (our playerbase). It's the positive energy we create when we show kindness (to others and ourselves) that helps to bring them alive. With this energy, they love to play and gather hoards of materials.

Thanks to this love, they do not need to eat or sleep. Instead, they can spend their nights cuddled up against your side protecting you from bad dreams while keeping you warm.

Because Snoozelings are plushies, they are sexless. Though they are able to express their gender in many different ways and pick from a wide array of pronouns. Very often they love to match their dreamer's pronouns since they share such a close bond, but this isn't always the case.

As a special treat, here are a BUNCH of snoozelings currently cared for by our dreamers.

Less than twenty-four hours since the last update and we have made great progress. We have unlocked our second set - Fluffy Bugs. That's five more pins now available!!

The Fluffy Bugs set is loosely based off our Feathered Wings & Moth Fluff traits in our game. Because of this, some of the pin colorations took inspiration from winged animals in real life.

Below is a Snoozeling with the color Birdseed. This color is based from pidgeons and was perfect inspiration to do a pidgeon colored pin as part of the Fluffy Bugs Set.

When not farming, exploring is another activity for your snoozelings to do.

Each snoozeling can explore once every two hours. When exploring, your snoozeling can find up to five items. As they level up their exploring skill, the chances to find more items increases.

There are currently three areas to explore: Snoozeling Ranch, Wistful Woods, and Dazzling Coast.

Each of these locations has a wide variety of items for your snoozeling to find. Though there are items that can be found at all locations like seeds for farming, coins for shopping, and keys for opening chests.

Most of these items are used for crafting. Feathers are important for crafting Pet Beds for your snoozeling - you'll need one bed per snoozeling you're keeping. Tree sap and honey is needed for making glue for stickers. Then there are rare items that can be used to make snoozeling upgrades like bug wings and lizard tails.

The most rare item when exploring are Sewing Kits. With this very special item, you can ask Minky - the sewing shop snoozeling - to sew you a brand new snoozeling to love and enjoy.

A quick update on the Backerkit. We are right at the 1k mark and will tip over with any single new pledge or any pledge that may increase. When that happens, we will be 40% to our next goal.

I didn't do much advertising today because I was very overwhelmed from yesterday. Running a game and large project can be very emotionally draining sometimes. I ended up sleeping 14 hours and then still spent most of today in an exhausted fog. But I wanted to make sure I shared this daily update.

What would a cozy game be without some sort of farming mechanic?

Each Snoozelings member starts with two farming plots and more can be crafted as you continue in the game. Seeds can be found by exploring or bought for 2 gold coins at Sprout's Seed Shop. Then you are able to plant these seeds and after a certain amount of time, your seeds will turn into ready to harvest plants.

Every two hours you will be reminded to drink some water. This is not necessary to the growing process, but if you decide to drink, your plants will recieve a small boost that can increase the chances of multiple harvests. This is a low pressure effort we've installed to assist with staying hydrated.
