If the project is shared at least 100 times through facebook, we will add new expressions to the basic Head cards, so they will all look different! This will be unlocked for every backer.
Goal: 1 / 100
1%
We need 99 more to reach this goal.

Project Update: Head start(s)!

Hi and welcome to our first Campaign update!

Thank you for your support so far. It's been over a day since we launched and we still have a a long road ahead fo us to get this project funded (and beyond!). We truly believe that we can get there together!

As part of these updates, we want to showcase better how Centipede is played. Over the next few weeks we will explain most the Centipede mechanics and reveal some of our cards.

So, let's start at the beginning, the Centipede heads!

Before a single card is played, Centipede heads need to be placed down in the play area. Shuffle the 10 Centipede heads, draw as many as there are players, and lay them face up in the center of the table.

Then roll a dice for each one, and leave it on top. The type of Head in combination with the roll, determines how that Centipede is scored.

Most of the time (5 of the 10 cards) the Centipede just needs to reach a number of legs between 11 and 16 (10 + dice value). If you play a card that causes that Centipede to reach exactly that number of legs, you score it. Easy!

But there are also 4 cards that have a different win condition:

For these Centipedes to be scored, they need to reach a number of legs equal or higher than 6, and at the same time, as many body parts of that specific type as the rolled dice. (We will explain about the different Centipede types at a later update)

There is also a unique King Centipede head that needs more than 20 legs to be scored, but will give double the points!

If you manage to score it, you have the game in your hands!

On the subject of Heads, we have also added an achievement to the our campaign. Help us share the campaign on Facebook, and we will make variations of the Basic Centipede head with different expressions (sad, angry...), so they all look different.

We hope you have enjoyed this update and better look at the Head cards. In our next update, we will explain more about the centipede legs...

Stay tunned!
