Midnight Muscadines is a solo+ TTRPG using dice and playing cards to explore a world with a shattered sun, survive the shadows that lurk, and craft deliciously powerful jams to keep the magic alive.


Magic is waning. The last sun shards illuminate only a small valley of the world while the remainder is bathed in perpetual Wildernight. The elusive Midnight Muscadine’s roots grow deep into the earth and concentrate the last tendrils of magic into its fruits. Marmateers find, collect, and preserve Midnight Muscadines into highly coveted jams, sustaining the world’s magic.

As harvest season arrives, step out of the sun shards’ light and into the vast Wildernight in search of the last source of magic, armed with your magical jar used to cast spells as unique as the jams you concoct.

Midnight Muscadines balances grand adventure and drama with a cozy life and nostalgia for warm summer days and crisp fall evenings. The world is filled with interesting people, places, and creatures that may happily aid you, or voraciously defend themselves.

Marmateers are jam makers, adventurers, and explorers, often performing other jobs like bee keeping and cartography in the off season.

The conflict system and bestiary are designed to support creative problem solving, tense arguments and debates, and, on occasion a good old fight depending the mood you're going for.


Magical Jam powers the world of Nimm, and armed with jars made from highly refined midnight muscadines, what you put in your jam jar imbues your jam with different magical effects! As ingredients are added together, the player chooses how the effects of each ingredient meld together to form a new magical spell. 

This gives the players imaginative control over their magic, and Marmateers using the same two ingredients may have very different spells.
