Project Update: Early Proof Prints Arrived

Hello Marmateers!

At the beginning of January, we sent off for proof prints of Midnight Muscadines to be made. These copies are to ensure the margins, bleed, colors, and general layout are working so we don't run into any issues or snags when it's time to order the full print run, and we think they' turned out beautifully!

Luckily, there are only two big items that need to be fixed for the printers: 
  • The spine artwork needs to be widened slightly 
  • The colored page tabs and text needs to be brought in to avoid getting trimmed off

Overall, things are going very well, and we're feeling great about the game and its design. The core mechanics and systems are about wrapped up, with small tweaks to be made as we work through feedback from our playtesters. That will let us focus on the writing and expanding the setting guide, adventures, bestiary, magical ingredients, and rolling tables for encounters, adventures, NPCs, and locations both in Nimm and the Wildernight.

Art for the game is coming along swiftly! Recently, our artist completed the Map of Nimm for the setting guide, which details the lands illuminated by the four sun shards. Galen did an outstanding job making sure each town's emblem captures key details that make it unique, from the fishing village Muguet to the false beacon in Albedo, and the tree house town of Tesson!
