Explore the Megacity of Zephyr's Veil!

Delve into a 5E high fantasy campaign setting with cyberpunk elements like body modification and a megacity. Experience heroic desperation with new player mechanics, creatures, lore, and more.

  • 10 Thematic Subclasses: Fresh new options such as the fighter conjureblade who brings supernatural allies to the battlefield or the hope domain cleric who provides their allies with the resolve to fight on.

  • 10 Subjugating Creatures: Challenge your players with familiar, but fresh and engaging foes like the convergence aberrations who focus on corrupting the land in order to multiply or the divination sentinels, constructs who watch and report.

  • Cutting-Edge Body Modification System with 10 Diverse Body Modification Options: Think upgradeable cybernetics, but in a high fantasy setting. Arcane tattoos to increase your resilience, element-infused organs for increased healing, and replacing connective tissue and muscle with plants, crystals, and metallic bones are just a few of the options awaiting you.

  • Megacity Zephyr's Veil History, Daily Life, and Secrets: Zephyr's Veil detailed past history, present NPCs, and world events that can be plug-and-play or quickly massaged into your existing campaign.

  • Factions and Power Struggles: Assist. Resist. Manipulate. All options are on the table as you move through the intricate dances of power between these juggernauts.

  • Dangerous Wasteland: Venture out of Zephyr's Veil and face the environmental hazards and lethal creatures ready for encounters.

  • Detailed Cataclysm for a Species-Ending Level Event: Rather than hiding behind the mystique of a mysterious cataclysm, the details are here to use as is or modify for a species-ending level event in your world.

  • 10 Adaptive Spells: Utility, offensive, and defensive options such as Wayfinder's tether help you navigate through even the most demanding environments or binding mud, which can be strategically targeted to improve your odds of landing.

  • 10 Heroic Feats: Empower your character with specialized feats, including infusions to modify your physiology, adding an extra layer of customization to any class.

  • No AI Illustrations: Art crafted in partnership with humans, outputting masterpieces.

  • Interactive Stretch Stretch Goals: The backers (YOU!) will vote on which additional content I should pursue, which will be unlocked as we reach the associated stretch goal.

Edit

What started as a single book quickly turned into a series of books, each building on the success of the last and expanding into something even more extraordinary. While each book is a stand-alone masterpiece, together, they create an epic campaign experience enhanced by a stunning illustration that unfolds across their spines.
What began as a passion project has transformed into a fully realized, intricate world that just keeps growing. There were additional backer-requested supplements to expand the world further. By the end of this campaign, we'll have:
  • 2 Painstakingly Balanced Classes: Psion and Summoner
  • 50+ Original Subclasses
  • 150+ Captivating Creatures
  • 80+ Empowering Feats
  • 70+ Thematic Spells
  • 60+ Fresh Magic Items
  • 10+ Additional Gear Options
  • 180+ Plug-and-Play Plothooks
  • Replayable Arena for All Levels
  • Rich Lore, Sample Encounters and Loot, GM Tools, and More!
  • Expansive Lore and Worldbuilding

Too Much Good Stuff

As a player who has amassed a large collection of PDFs and hardcovers over the years, I know how challenging it can be to use the content I've purchased. Figuring out which book contains that perfect spell or feat can take valuable time away from your game, if you even find it. With these needs in mind, I built a tool for everyone to use: CreedsCodex.com.

Why CreedsCodex.com is the Ultimate Tool for Every Adventurer

  • Seamlessly Organized Content: Access all Knight Vision Creative books, supplements, and active work-in-progress content in a beautifully organized digital library, plus D&D 5E Creative Commons material. Spend less time searching and more time playing.
  • Exclusive Features and Content: Start with a free account, and when you're ready to level up, unlock exclusive player options, GM tools, and one-of-a-kind adventures.
  • Dynamic and Community-Driven: CreedsCodex.com isn’t just a static library. It evolves based on your feedback, adding new features like an in-game item store and community events, ensuring your experience stays fresh and exciting.

One thing that always bugged me about D&DBeyond was the lack of recognition for those of us who had already invested in physical books. Being asked to buy the same content again in a different format felt like duplicate purchases, especially when you don't even fully own that digital content. That's why I'm doing things differently:
  • Free Access: The robust search, filters, work-in-progress material, SRD content, and more will remain free for all, forever.
  • Unmatched Value: You get the standard Hardcover and/or PDF, but every pledge also comes with a CreedsCodex.com credit worth more than your pledge amount that can be used toward a subscription. The Treasure Hoard tier is a true steal offering $1,000 in credit, giving you years of access to every Knight Vision Creative product—existing and future releases, just by buying the products you already want to use.

*By becoming a founding member, you can also lock in 50% off the subscription for life. These founder spots are limited and end September 30th. They come with a host of benefits, including inclusion in the homepage artwork!

Explore all of my products your way:

1.  Download a 61-Page PDF Preview:  Dive into this extensive preview, packed with content from all the finished and work-in-progress material! While it doesn’t cover everything available in the interactive database,  it gives you a great taste of the high-quality material you can expect in the final book.

2.  Discover CreedsCodex.com: For the most comprehensive preview ever, visit the official online interactive database! You’ll find all the Knight Vision Creative content in one place. Best of all, everything is free to explore through the end of the month!
Edit

If you're interested in checking out the two previous books or some of the backer-requested add-ons, you're in the right place!

I put together a quick synopsis of what's inside and a video overview of each product. Not only can you see way more content than I'd be able to stick on the page, but you get some behind-the-scenes details on why things were built.

A crowdfunding experience like no other

✅ Unprecedented Access

You have the freedom to participate as much or as little as you like.
  • Exclusive Early Access: Immediate access to the master work-in-progress manuscript as a backer. Follow the development journey and provide feedback every step of the way.
  • Updates:  Daily Discord updates, crowdfunding updates every four weeks, regular surveys collecting feedback and giving you a channel to have your opinions heard!

✅ Daily Discord Updates

With 1,200+ passionate players driving decisions every day, I have a huge advantage in outputting content. I share first drafts of mechanics for feedback, poll on which artwork concept we should continue with, and source ideas you'd love to see in the lore from character names through plot arcs. Plus people are naturally kept in the loop with where the project is!
*Also, there's a D&D campaign running regularly open to all. Whether you're looking for an occassional one-shot or want regular action with the ongoing adventure, come check it out!

✅ Lightning-Fast Delivery

I've partnered with a US-based printer for record-breaking delivery times with the highest-quality product. Creed's Codex: Legends of the Psions Kickstarter ended on September 8th, 2024, and people could access the master work-in-progress manuscript on October 13th and use the content that night! Hardcovers began arriving in hand as early as mid-May, two months before our estimated delivery!

Nothing kills the excitement more than a 2+ year delivery timeline, and I'm focused on improving this even further with every project!

💭But what does the community think?

Since they are there every step of the way, feedback has been phenomenal!

Review the master work-in-progress document and see real-time updates as soon as the campaign ends

Vote and critique artwork concepts to help make a spectacular final version

See the content come to life at the US-based printer (that's me reviewing the fatesight psion final output)

The community is a major driver of the content in these products. I think the key to making the highest-quality product that people will love is getting feedback early and often, and it is a critical part of my process. I just outright asked them if anyone wanted to say anything I could stick on here.

This has naturally led to spectacular reviews since people can provide their feedback as we're building, and I can factor it into the final product.

Edit

Knight Vision Creative books are manufactured in the United States, increasing quality, decreasing transit timelines, and reducing risk. The products will require an import/VAT tax internationally, where applicable. Sales tax, if applicable, will be charged in the pledge manager.

I've always thought it sucks having to pay such high import costs, so I'm giving international backers a free PDF. This will head out your way in September 2025.

The Journey Begins

A friend asked for my help getting a project across the finish line for their company. They were expecting it to take approximately 3 months. I decided I could squeeze it in here and there around my normal full time job. 26 months later I rolled off that project, having been working 70+ hours a week for what felt like an eternity. Shortly after that, I had two colleagues pass away while we were working on setting up an IT system for people who might not ever use it.

Feeling burned out, I began re-evaluating how I spend my time. I started looking around for a summoner class for Dungeons & Dragons. I found a few, but none of them felt right. They had weak summons, overpowered characters, or didn't live up to the dream: an epic companion that would do the heavy lifting, balanced, and focused on summoning. I started using some of that freed-up time to perform attempt after attempt to bring something to life. I finally had my eureka moment when I abandoned spellcasting as the means to bring forth the summons and instead built a points system similar to Ki and Sorcery Points (and I required the summoner to use their action to control the summon. I said these were powerful!).

During the process I invited people to playtest the class and after countless sessions had refined it into a solid contender that fit right at home within the 5E ecosystem. This process is what led me to the true strength of crowdfunding, the crowd! Bringing backers into the fold early and often to get opinions heard whether that's in relation to artwork concepts, mechanic ideas, lore suggestions, or general feedback led to a better product than I could make alone. The final result was Creed's Codex: Arcane Secrets of the Summoners. This initial experiment was a great success, kickstarted a blossoming community, and led to tons of ideas for another highly requested class: the psion.

Leveling Up

After the success of the first project and the burgeoning community of passionate folks that had joined my party along the way, I had put out a survey looking to see what we should do next. A psion class kept coming up over and over again. I did a little digging and found a similar problem. Almost all the psions were reflavored spellcasters adding a complex psionic psuedo magic system that was competing with the existing magic system.

I took a step back and asked my community what they thought about a martial psion instead. I had a lot of support for this direction, so I started cranking away with the community. This time I decided one of my focuses with developing this book was also going to be on building a best-in-class book manufacturing company by leveraging my experience with DevOps.

I was already doing the "continuous deployment" aspect, dropping new content into my Discord server as soon as it was ready for people to start playing with it, so why not look at revamping the whole process? I ran into some crazy issues in my life during the project: two moves, my one-year-old ending up in the hospital for the majority of January, getting rear ended on the freeway on the way to the hospital, and many other challenges. With it all, I was still able to deliver the hardcover on time (the majority even arrived early)!

I also had a random comment on a facebook ad asking, "why can't the book spines make an image?" I...wasn't sure. Why couldn't the spines make a kick-ass illustration? I surveyed the community (I genuinely like to hear what you all want!) and it was clear as could be, the majority were in! I now had an awesome illustration unfolding along the spines of the books.

The Kraken

The community continues to grow, the flywheel has started to spin a little faster, but the dangers are increasing in scope as well. I encountered some epic growing pains as I begin to bring on more team members, but now I have a legendary offering for you of epic proportions. With my DevOps approach, content delivery system, and general community, we're ready to knock your socks off!
