Hello, Jailbirds!

Been a little bit since we had an update. I'm happy to say, this is a big one.

I got the final email this morning that all BIRD CRIMES pins are finished, and ready to fly.

Here's a lineup of a few of the felons you might start seeing around. We are in the home stretch of the BIRD CRIMES adventure - the second these guys touch down, we'll be even closer.

What now?

The current plan is to fulfill all BIRD CRIMES orders + combined (non UK) orders the weekend of September 21st. Unless circumstances change drastically, all pins and stickers will be packed, put in with any applicable Backyard Birds rewards, and sent off to pledges for their parole.

I need to thank you guys for being so patient with all this. I'm sorry we missed our August deadline, but, this has been a bit of a learning experience about sample times and when to get things moving with the factory. I thought I had everything set by getting quotes pre-launch, but, in the future, it looks like any uncertain designs will need to be pushed for sampling during the funding period itself.

What does this mean for you?

If you have your address set, and have paid for your birds, nothing! Well... except, maybe turn your Ring camera on and lobby your local lawmakers to put a few cruisers on your cul-de-sac, for when these disgusting delinquents show up at your door. Don't worry, we'll give you a tracking number, so you can prepare appropriately.

IF YOU HAVE MOVED SINCE ADDRESSES WERE LOCKED: This is your final chance to change your shipping location. You need to do this as soon as possible.

If you are no longer at the address you provided during your BIRD CRIMES survey, you need to manually reach out to me at [email protected]. Provide your email used on BackerKit (if not identical to the sending address), and your name, as well as the new address. I do not replace or refund orders sent to the wrong address or lost due to address issues, so make sure we have the right location for you.

I will be able to change addresses until Sunday, September 15th. Any address changes will also apply to Corviforms' Backyard Birds campaign, and you do not need to reach out to her separately.

And, one more time, thank you guys for making BIRD CRIMES happen. Let me remind you that we got funded in 17 minutes. It took you a commute and clock in time to raise the initial 3-pin goal - and less than a day to clear all of the stretch goals I was hesitant to waste time on. That's incredible.

My life might get shaken up a little bit in the next couple of months, with a move to greener pastures - hopefully nearby, unfortunately, possibly, across the country. I am hunting for a space with... better space, really, so I can do some more stuff for you guys. I haven't had a proper workspace in years, so I've been pretty limited for storage and supplies - I've been packing pins and stickers on dining tables for the past two locations. I'd like to give you all more, because words are empty and action has always meant more to me.

Whatever comes next, it will come, in time. All I can do is tell you, that, that ridiculous turnout you gave me for this campaign, is paying for it directly. I am very, very grateful for the chance to keep making art.

Next time it'll actually happen in the two month window, though.
