Defenders of the Realm: Legends Edition is a reimagined version of Richard Launius’ iconic cooperative board game for 1–6 players. With over 100 miniatures and a 60–120 minute playtime, defend Monarch City from fierce enemies and epic bosses!

Four terrifying bosses are marching towards Monarch City now.
High walls and tall towers can only hold back the hordes for so long. Who will stand stalwart and face the endless waves of skeletons and goblins? Who will send the imps back from the depths of hell from where they came? Who will stop the cultists from summoning The Eternal Cold?!
Stomp and slash your way through enemies as Fera, the half-giant Barbarian. Sneak through the shadows as Vitalia, the elven Rogue. Aim your arrows true and restore the land with Samil, the human Ranger. Create gates, cast spells, and aid your fellows as Krohl, the dwarven Mage.
Only you can defeat the evil that threatens to bring down Monarch City and all the land in Defenders of the Realm!
Minions loom on the horizon… what greater dangers await you and your companions? Each expansion comes with 20 Minion miniatures and 1 card, including an elite mode for each Minion type to bring on the challenge!
Knales the Druid is our first stretch goal and part of the Unusual Allies expansion! One unlocked, she'll be added to every pledge for free! Or, you can have the option to buy multiple copies of her in our add-on section, once unlocked She is a fantastic hero with not one but two amazing miniatures. Want to know more? Each dawn in Monarch City brings a new chance to fight your foes, but beware the darkness that lingers. Every action you take will increase the Darkness tracker. And in that darkness evil grows, thrives, and charges to the city! Fight together to save Monarch City before the towers fall!
Every round of Defenders of the Realm is one full day. A chance for you to strike down the bosses and stop this chaos dead in its tracks. There are four phases to every round: Dawn, Day, Dusk, and Dark.
Dawn
In Dawn, heroes may take any dawn actions, heal up if they’re in Monarch City, and then draw up to their hand size.
Day
Day is where the action begins and you get to show your character’s unique skills that make them perfect for their class. Players act simultaneously to work together and take down the bosses.
There is no turn order, so planning with your party is of the utmost importance. But be warned! For every action that you take, cards are added to your Heap.
Dusk
At Dusk, your Heaps are then counted — and for every action taken, the Darkness Tracker increases by one.
Have you taken enough steps to inch closer to the boss? Did you strike down enough goblins and imps to keep them away? Or have your daytime actions only hastened the villainous advance? You must maintain a delicate balance to triumph!
Dark
The Darkness Tracker decreases with every action the enemy takes — bosses advance, minions spawn — until it reaches zero and night comes to an end.
Will you be able to win by defeating all the bosses before they reach the city? Will you be able to save Monarch City and all of the realm? Defeat enough minions or become overrun, keep the walls and towers of Monarch City standing, and bring victory throughout the land.

Though we don’t have an exact timeline nailed down yet, these are our general goals and outlines for when you can expect your product to be delivered to you! Of course, this has extra time baked in to account for any bumps that may happen along the way; the "shipment to GTG warehouse" category is especially tricky, as we never know what might happen on the great big ocean out there.

Our goal is to always get you the absolute best deal that we possibly can when it comes not only to our great games, but also their shipping. To do that, this time around, we will not be charging shipping until it is closer to time to deliver. As of this very moment, based on our current information, we estimate the following shipments for just the base game will be the following, orders with expansions or other add-ons would be a higher shipping rate:

Europe: $57
Asia: $75
Australia/New Zealand: $119
Rest of the World: $90
However, we fully expect this to change based on the finalized weight of the product as well as shipping rates at the time of delivery. This game is not small, but that’s what we love about it! This is a big, epic project and we are so excited to be able to get it to you!
Once we have finalized both the size/weight of all of all products and are a little closer to when it’s time to ship, we will both make an update here on the campaign. We will then send out an additional survey for the shipping charge.
Please also be advised that Taxes/VAT will be charged as an additional cost to any shipment not within the United States. This will be listed on your second survey once we know what the definitive shipping costs are.
Finally, there are certain countries that we cannot ship to, even as much as we would like to. These countries are: Belarus, Brazil, Cuba, North Korea, Russia, Syria, Venezuela, Yemen,and Antarctica.If you happen to pledge with us and you are in one of these countries, no sweat. We’ll be happy to refund you!
You’ll notice that the Defenders of the Realm campaign does not have a specific Retailer Pledge, in keeping with previous GTG campaigns. However, we DO want to ensure that you have plenty of access to Defenders of the Realm for your communities! So, here’s the Not-A-Retailer-Pledge-But-Kind-Of “Pledge.”
For the duration of the campaign, if you are a brick and mortar retail store in the United States, you may submit your case quantities for Defenders of the Realm: Legends Edition directly to [email protected] for processing post-campaign. We will get you set up as a direct account and our retailer discount will be applied to the campaign’s reduced SRP while the campaign remains live. You will be charged at the conclusion of the campaign, and we will provide production and shipping updates to our Not-A-Retailer-Pledge-But-Kind-Of “Pledge” mailing list. Your copies will be shipped early alongside campaign backer shipments prior to the regular retail release of the game.
