Project Update: The Flood Washes Over Us All
Hey folks, Sylvan here.
What a journey the past month has been. Nic, MC, Reese, Dominique, and I are absolutely thrilled that Before the Flood saw such a strong response, and we're so excited to get the game into your hands as quickly as possible. Over $10,000 more than our original goal! That's amazing! You are all amazing! Thank you, thank you, thank you for your support.
I don't have many specifics to give you in this update--I think I'm going to save devlog post for a later update to give you guys something more tangible to look forward to in the short term. For now, I'm putting my foot down on a week-long break for MC, Nic, Reese, Dom, and myself. Everyone has been busting their butt on this campaign (hooray, crunch), and I think it's really important that everyone gets some rest before we move into the production stage of the product. Besides, it takes a little while for the money from Backerkit to hit and cards to get charged and all that good stuff, so we may as well wait in style by tending to all the little aspects of our lives that have gone untended during the campaign (fun fact: I started a new job as a librarian this week, hence why Nic has written more updates recently).
A few quick notes to address some questions I've gotten:

A few quick notes to address some questions I've gotten:
- Pre-orders and add-ons will be open on Backerkit, so if you missed the campaign or you want to change your pledge, you can for sure make that happen. I'll set that all up some time this weekend or next week, after I've had a few days of rest.
- The Book of Legend is only available here bundled as a print copy with a PDF. If you only want the PDF, just message me not to mail you the physical book! No reason to pay for postage if you don't want the package, right?
- We got very close to Jay Dragon's stretch goal, and I know some people were very excited about the potential of Jay working on the project (myself included). I'll have to reevaluate the budget and take a closer look at printing costs to see if we have the funds for it. If I can make it happen, I will (and might even have one or two other mystery writers for the Book)
- No, you still cannot eat the catterfly.
- Yes, I'm serious.
- No, I won't reconsider.
Thank you again for taking this journey with us! Here's to all that comes next.
With excitement and exhaustion,
Syl
