Project Update: Important Reminder: Cards charging on Jan 31st
Hi everyone,
First, in happy news, the pins and keychains are all in and with grading and inventory nearing completion, I'm starting to prepare for fulfillment. Our manufacturing partners at Dragon Woodshop are still hard at work on the pin display boards and we're expecting those in by the end of February.
Don't forget, I'll be processing credit cards on January 31st for all add-ons purchased in the pledge manager and for shipping charges!
I wasn't able to secure a fulfillment partner this time around, so I'm considering the best and most efficient options for doing this volume of fulfillment from my studio. Since the pin displays won't arrive for a few more weeks and there's currently zero space left in my little studio, I'm leaning towards doing a staggered fulfillment, starting with the orders that only contain pins, keychains, washi, and stickers ASAP in February and finishing with the larger orders when the displays arrive.
Second, a sad life update; I'm heartbroken to share that my cat River passed away last week. I'm still a little bit in shock at how sudden it all was, but I'm grateful that we were able to help her pass peacefully and that she spent her last days being spoiled with love and all of her favorite snacks and treats. I'm so thankful for the time that I had with that amazing little black cat. As my muse and inspiration, it's not an exaggeration to say she changed my life and she's the whole reason I'm writing this to you now.
I will always miss her, but it's such a gift that so many people helped me create something that will always keep her memory alive.
Give your kitties a sweet little smooch on the forehead for me.

Project Update: Charging cards and Fulfillment updates!
Hi everyone,
I hope your holidays were pleasant and relaxing!
I’ve just received shipping notifications from my manufacturer for all of the pins and keychains, and the washi tape and stickers have already arrived, so grading and QA will be starting soon, and I’m hoping fulfillment will begin, as scheduled, by early March!
Now’s the time to double-check your addresses and orders and fill out your survey if you haven’t, because we will be charging credit cards for both additional items purchased and shipping fees on Friday, January 31. We expect shipping fees to be as previously estimated in the project details. If you need to make any changes to a locked order, please contact me at [email protected] and I’ll be happy to help!
Care packages update! I’m assembling and shipping the “Something to Look Forward To” care packages by the end of January, so there’s still time to join in (see the previous update for details).
And since a few have asked - I will not be including any scented or edible products, just things like stickers and stationery, so there shouldn’t be any allergy concerns.
That’s it for now, but I’ll be back soon with some photos of all the pins and other campaign rewards!

Project Update: Coping Cats pin samples are in! Check out the photos!
Hi everyone,
In very, very deep spite of how our country chooses to move, I’ve been pressing forward and not a little ironically, coping through working to keep this project progressing! I hope you’ve also been finding something to lean on for comfort or distraction.
In nicer news, I’ve already gotten samples of the pins from our manufacturer, and they look amazing! They did a great job on turning my artwork into these lovely little treasures. I can’t wait to wear “Time to Scream Now” and “Going Through It” to all the upcoming holiday gatherings with my conservative family-in-law (I love my wife but seriously…)
Thank you to everyone for getting almost 90% of the surveys in so quickly!
The surveys and Pre-Order Store will close on November 25th so that we can place production orders in time to help our amazing, helpful, and very patient sales rep and manufacturing partners in Hong Kong get an end of the season bonus.

Project Update: BackerKit Surveys coming soon!
Hi everyone!
We've been super busy and I'm happy to report that all of the final artwork for the pins is complete, proofs have been approved, and the deposit to start production of the pin samples has been sent to the manufacturer. This is officially the quickest things have ever moved, and I am stoked to see the process becoming better and more streamlined—hopefully we'll get to the fulfillment finish line that much faster.
The Pledge Manager and Pre-order Store setup will also be finished a little ahead of schedule, so you’ll receive an email from us early next week with a special link to your BackerKit survey!
It’s essential to respond to your survey as quickly as possible since we need this information to fulfill your rewards. Surveys will be open until Friday, November 22nd, at which point we'll tallying the final quantities for all the rewards and placing the orders with the manufacturers.

You do not need to create a BackerKit account to fill out your survey. When you receive the survey invite email, click the survey link to respond. Answer the questions about your reward preferences, provide shipping information, and purchase additional items if you like.
After you respond to your survey, you can always go back later and change your responses at any time before we close the surveys and get our final counts. We will be processing any charges for additional purchases AFTER January 1st, 2025, and we'll send another Update to notify backers in advance of charging cards.
Due to the volatility of shipping prices right now, shipping fees for this project will be calculated at a later date. We plan to enter & charge backers for shipping closer to the fulfillment date so that we can offer the most accurate and economical prices. We will keep you informed all along the way and will alert backers when shipping costs are finalized & before we charge your cards.
If you need to review your information or pledge status, you can return to your survey by clicking the link in your survey email or requesting your survey link under "Lost your survey?" on our BackerKit project page at https://coping-cats.backerkit.com.

After surveys are sent, if you did not receive the email, and you Signed in with Apple ID, your email address might be a private relay email address.
