This is just a quick update because, as most(82%) of you have seen, the surveys are out! 

We are just missing 7 of you, I believe, and then the real fun happens with fulfillment! 

Everyone has until October 31st to give the name they would like to appear in the acknowledgements, then I can deliver on the ebooks, digital goods, and oracle cards, as well as order the print books. I cannot wait!

The oracles arrived yesterday and they are beautiful! As a reminder, everyone who backed both my campaign and Reimagined: The Relic Saga at a physical tier will have these 3 oracle cards added to their order, free of charge! (If you backed at a digital tier but still want the physical version mailed to you, let me know in a comment and I'll add it to your order for the cost of a stamp ;) )

Smoke Tests have already been sent to a few backers, and once we get those back without issue, the rest of the surveys will go out for you to confirm your add-ons and determine shipping costs.

If you would like to save on shipping and see me in person, I will be offering local pickup at the Montreal Comic Con Holiday Event, December 7th and 8th at the Palais des Congres. (If you are someone who sees me in person, please also select Local Pickup ;) ) To do this, simply choose "Local pickup" as your country when entering your address.

We officially funded, and hit multiple stretch goals. I can't wait to show everyone these special editions! (and see them for myself :) )

I am so incredibly grateful to the 40 of you who pledged. I have never made a book this pretty, but now, thanks to you, we can! You have my eternal gratitude.

And thank you to everyone else who was along for the ride. If you wanted to pledge but missed the campaign,  most of the items are available in the pre-order store!

As for next steps, Backerkit should be charging your credits cards if they haven't already. This covers everything if you pledged to a digital tier, but shipping will be added on later for all the physical tiers. I will do my absolute best to keep shipping as low as I possibly can, hopefully even less than what I calculated during the campaign.

I will be out of the country for the next couple of weeks, so there probably won't be any updates, but I will send out the surveys as soon as I get back. The last stretch goal we hit was for an illustrated case laminate cover, so Fairchild will be working on that, and I'll share it here as soon as she sends it to me. At which point I can order a proof copy and get to fulfillment! My hope is November, assuming all goes well, but my self-imposed hard deadline is in time for Christmas ;)

Just under four hours to go and I finally received a proof copy of FIrst Life Duet!

 These are screengrabs from a video on my socials where I can better demonstrate how it works :)

It was mostly a test to see if I could print a book that the writing goes upside down halfway through, so the cover is homemade and does not include the actual character illustrations I commissioned Fairchild to do now that we hit our stretch goal (woohoo!) but I still think it's beautiful! And that's not even the special edition with the foil and the sprayed edges...I literally cannot wait!

We are reaching the end of Booktopia, so I wanted to take the time and thank you again for following along, for pledging, for voting, for everything! I always thought crowdfunding would never work for someone like me, without an audience, but it turns out that as long as you offer awesome books and stories to the people who love to read (or simply own pretty books, no judgment here ;) ) you can find an audience. And I am so grateful for each and every one of you.
