She takes an internship solving cold cases with Dr. Grace Goncalves at her local precinct and meets a handsome stranger, Tristan Davis. As Alison learns more about the world of Gifted, and her place within it, she impresses Detective Cortez, who enlists her help on a current case.
When those closest to her become victims, Alison must put the pieces together and solve the puzzle, or she’ll be next.
First Life was published with Alison's POV, but it was originally written with Tristan's as well. I was going to release the Tristan chapters as a companion novel, because I love the insight they give to his past and life at Rosehill, but you really need the two together to get the full story, which is where this campaign comes in. Shipping will be added on after the campaign is over, through Backerkit. Coming from Canada, it can be pretty expensive, but I will do my best to keep it as affordable as possible, and to only charge you what it costs me. Based on my last campaign, rough estimates for the main physical tiers (without add-ons) would be:

Obviously, the more backers I have, the more of a discount I can get from shipping companies, and there are fulfillment companies if most of my backers are in the same country, such as the US.Â

Once you are confirmed, I will send out backer surveys to find out exactly what you want and where I can send it to you.
As soon as I get your survey response, I will send any digital rewards through Bookfunnel. I will also order all physical rewards at this point.
November Once I receive the physical rewards (paperbacks and hardcovers), I will sign and ship them to you :)
December Barring any printing or shipping delays, everyone who returns their survey on time should have their entire pledge fulfilled by the end of the year.
February I put this as the fulfillment date in case there are any stragglers or unexpected delays.

I grew up living vicariously through the characters I made up in my head. It still boggles my mind that I get to tell stories for a living, but that is what I do, both through the books I write, and the sets I get to be a background actor on (I'm the one holding a notebook and writing between takes!).
I can't remember when I started writing, but my first books had more pictures than words. Publishing was on my list of New Year's resolutions from about the time I was twelve until I finally did it in 2019. I published two books that year, two more the next, and have no plans of stopping. One of my fears is that I will never be able to tell all the stories in my head.
No generative AI was used in the making of First Life Duet, or any of the rewards that come with it. The words were all written by me (for better or for worse ;) ) and the original covers were done by 100covers.
My drawing skills are not the greatest, so all the beautiful character art and logos you see on my page were from two very talented artists, Fairchild and Jehh Tattoo. These amazing women take characters and ideas from my chaotic brain and turn them into gorgeous pieces of art.
