Ashanti Amarasuriya, a mother and entrepreneur from Burlington, Ontario, Canada, founded so gud™ with a deeply personal purpose: to create a safer, greener world for her family and yours. Her journey began with ZellJoy, an online marketplace for plastic-free products, and maNASA Tea, a brand celebrated for its compostable, microplastic-free tea packaging.
As a mom, Ashanti grew increasingly alarmed by the mounting evidence of toxic microplastics in our bodies—especially in children. Refusing to compromise on health or sustainability, she set out to develop a better way. The result? so gud™: beverages that are not only free from toxic microplastics but also bottled in innovative, plant-based, 100% compostable bottles.
