Artist & illustrator William, also known as Ykee (why-key), is an early education teacher with a tremendous love for children. Ykee began writing stories as early as eight, creating characters and plots that followed him into adulthood. For some, our imaginations leave us as we leave our childhood. Not for Ykee, his overactive imagination, creativity, and loving nature kept his childlike heart alive.
Ykee expresses himself through his hair, smile, and his colorful shoes. Ykee finds that communication can solve his problems, engendering his stories today. Through his journey of working with children, he has met many children who share the same troubles he has experienced. So his writing isn't just for him, but he writes to teach those children to navigate the obstacles that stood in his way as he grew.
Ykee lives by three principles, assess, understand, and then apply. Failure to him is only when he doesn't learn from his mistakes. Ykee has lived and faced many challenges. He learned to love from those challenges, and then they became memories.
Then he laughed because he saw peace in his adversities.
