My name is Jason Ray Carney and I'm an English professor and writer who has published both fiction and nonfiction. The is my personal YouTube channel. I received my B.A. from Otterbein University, my M.A. from Ohio University, and my Ph.D. from Case Western Reserve University. I teach at Christopher Newport University. My academic book, Weird Tales of Modernity (McFarland 2019), is now available. I co-edit an academic journal, The Dark Man: The Journal of Robert E. Howard and Pulp Studies. I am the editor of the creative writing journal, Whetstone: Amateur Magazine of Pulp Sword and Sorcery. I am the area chair of the Pulp Studies section of the Popular Culture Association.
