Would cloth covers be a more eco-friendly alternative to the fancy plastic/"vegan leather"? Cloth covers and spines can take some lovely gilt stamping, as I can see whenever I look through the vintage volumes in my family's library.
Not at this time, sorry. We don't currently have the rights to publish a paperback.

The oldest leather bound book I have was printed in 1837, and has held up pretty well.

Although I am a lifelong vegetarian (not vegan), I have no problem with using leather. In fact, I find it better than using plastic because it is, so far as I understand it, more ecologically desirable. I already own a number of leather bound books and treasure them.
