Once all addresses are confirmed, I will be charging cards for shipping on the following weekend. The date may vary, because I have a Krampus Yule Market in Baltimore I will be attending that weekend, but it will certainly be after Friday the 22nd.

If you have moved and need to update your address, or if you aren't sure and need to confirm your shipping address, please email me at [email protected] with your request before November 17th! I have also sent survey completion reminders to 11 people who have not completed their surveys yet. If you are one of those people and you were withholding due to a potential address change, the time to lock in your survey is now. 

I've edited only this photo's color to reflect the eyebrows and bell embroidery color change, so as for everything else, please consider these to be the final looks! If, again, you're unhappy with the necessary brown fabric change, please email me at [email protected] .

For me, it's time to order boxes to fit your little fellas and Krampus goodies! Then, once the final fixes are made, Kidd Krampus will be carted off to a safety testing facility, to ensure he's good to go for nationwide and international shipments. Once approved, we can complete the plush batch, and they will be mailed to me, to be mailed to you!

I'm hopeful that he will be home to you in time for the holidays, but worst case scenario, he might be arriving closer to the New Year. With that said, I am amazed we caught up and stayed very close to our original timeline. Considering everything we have been through with this naughty little guy, and that Joyus Toyus has still not refunded me fully ( worry not, I'm taking care of it! ) I am enthralled with how Kidd turned out and thankful for all of your patience and support throughout my first ever crowdfunding campaign! 💚 I really could not have done it without all of the love and support from you good people, family, friends, and our new factory, with whom we are currently working on the Monty Mothman prototype!

Part of me being an artist and creating these lovable Plushpanions is so that you or your loved ones can have an outlet to express yourself, potentially even reflect yourself onto, freely. We are just starting out now, but I often daydream of a future with so many accessories and outfits that everyone has a little companion to bring wherever and whenever they may need them.

I’m thrilled to say that we’re finally nearing the end of the re-prototyping phase. All things considered, I think we’re making excellent time!

Your Krampus and Cryptids sticker sheets have arrived! I couldn’t resist adding a sticker of the new Plushpanions™️ logo to the cryptid sticker sheet. If you’re not a fan, feel free to recycle the sticker (and the sticker sheet)! There’s no PVC covering, so they’re entirely plastic-free and paper-recyclable. ♻️

Apologies for the slight delay! The factory has been working quickly on final fixes, so I thought I’d have the final Kidd Krampus prototype for you today, but it’s looking like next week. In the meantime, just look at this little guy! 

I’ve included a mix of photos to show you the current prototype and some of his lovely props, as well as reference images for the final tweaks. The latest sample on the left only needs a few updates: adjusting the eyebrow color, repositioning the hair (the small spike should be where the larger one is), and refining the hooves. This pattern is complex, so I’m collaborating closely with the designer on the final shapes. Otherwise, he looks adorable! Check out the Bag O’ Mischief and magnetic Branches! The branches will have a firm backing to stay upright and maintain Krampus’ signature look. 

In the older sample below on the left, we were working on the eye color, which is why it’s a darker yellow here. The main takeaway, though, is Krampus' luxurious GRS fabric cloak, which I think looks luxurious and classic. This prototype version also has more intimidating side horns, which adds a fittingly powerful look for Krampus. Additional notes: the bell color will be slightly warmer, and the tongue will have more definition. 

I also wanted to take a moment to show a brief overview of how far we've come - and I really mean brief! While I am working on a short montage of samples, here is a basic image summary. Below is the prototype where we started, and here we are now. Prototyping is a lot of back-and-forth, you really have to know and advocate for your design. I have learned a lot and I have already put a lot of the knowledge gained from Krampus, into Monty Mothman!

Speaking of Monty, the teaser page has 54 followers, including me! We’re off to a fantastic start. 💚

I feel we’re about a week away from final Krampus approvals and moving into safety testing, which ensures that each plush meets national, international, and even state-specific standards before Krampus comes home to you. 💚 Once the final approvals are complete, I’ll be ready to confirm addresses and charge cards for shipping shortly after - WOOHOO! 🎉

A short update, but I’m so excited that I had to share! The purple Krampus sample has arrived at our new factory partner, and they’ve already created a copy from it. I wanted to share the results because it’s getting so close to being complete. 👀

On the left is their quick mock-up, copying the prototype I sent. On the right is the image I sent back, highlighting a few changes that need to be made. Specifically, we’ll be adjusting the face embroidery outward slightly, adding the beard, fluffing the muttonchops, and angling the mouth up a bit! And of course, we’re switching to pink paws. I had considered brown paws when the need to change to brown fur arose, but they would blend in too much with the “branches” prop, so I decided the pink would offer better contrast.

With that said, we’re nearly there! As the plush designer, this process is full of tiny tweaks, because only so much can be conveyed through an image. They say a picture is worth a thousand words, but when it comes to making prototypes a reality, you also need plenty of words to get the details just right! 😅

The ups and downs of this plush-making journey have inspired me to create a montage of all the prototypes we’ve worked through. That way, we can all look back together and see just how far Kidd Krampus has come from the beginning to now. I’ll start editing this today, so by the time he’s 100% ready, the montage will be, too! 🍿
