The day has finally arrived - I’m starting to mail out Krampuses to you all!
This is a brand-new adventure for me, handling mass shipments, and it is quite a feeling. It’s bittersweet; I just got all these little fellas, and now I have to send them off 😭, but I know they’re heading to loving homes! Once your package ships, you’ll receive an email from BackerKit with your tracking information, once it is in the system.
Shipping update! Over 50 Kidd Krampus plushies are on their way to their new homes.
So far, 62 orders have been sent, including 53 Kidd Krampus plushies! We’re nearly halfway through fulfillment, so hold tight while we wrap things up. Thank you again for trusting me on this wild and crazy adventure!

I woke up yesterday to the sound of my doorbell - only to find piles of plush goodies waiting at my front door! 👀 That’s right, Kidd Krampus has arrived! This means we can now begin Quality Assurance ( QA ) and, most importantly, start shipping orders!!
🔎 Step One - QA 🔎
Right now, I’m counting tongues! ( Which sounds like an old saying, but no - I'm literally counting tongues. ) I’m ensuring every magnet is placed correctly before moving on to checking the bundles of branches. Precision is key!
💄 Step Two - Getting Dolled Up 💄
Kidd Krampus arrived indecent 🫣, so it’s time to get him properly dressed! As I carefully slide him into his soft, cozy coat, I’ll also be performing thread checks to make sure everything looks perfect!
🏷️ Step Three - Tagging 🏷️
Krampus needs a few "piercings" before heading out - safety tags, branding, and something special I designed just for Plushpanions: the Plushport!
📕 What’s a Plushport? 📕
Each Plushpanion comes with a Plushport, which is a folded tag featuring: ✅ A photo & description of your Plushpanion ✅ A special section to write your name, your Plushpanion’s name, and the adoption date, so you can commemorate the day your little fella joined you, forever!
For Holiday Edition Kidd Krampus plushies, you’ll notice a tree-shaped stamp on your Plushport - this is your official certification that you have a Special Edition Plushpanion. The pine tree-shaped eye gloss also marks this special edition, but the Plushport stamp is your second confirmation! Regular Plushports do not have stamps.

📦 Final Step – Shipping!! 🚚💨
Once Krampus has passed all checks and is dressed for his big day, he’ll be carefully packed up along with all of your Krampus goodies and sent on his way to you! 🎊
Shipping is estimated to start next week. One your items have been shipped, you'll receive an email that your order is on the way!

🔎 Quality Assurance 🔎
Once Kidd arrives, he will be going through a few steps to ensure that he's coming home to you at 100%! Anything can happen during travel, so we've started to outline our process, including steps such as:
✅ Checking for any stains, smells, or damage. ✅ Trimming loose embroidery strands. ✅ Weighing filler consistency. ✅ Checking magnet placement and props.
Our final step will be dressing Krampus, as he's arriving naked! 🫢 This will ensure that each piece fits and works as needed.
📍 Free Pin Reminder! 📍
If you pledge to the Monty Mothman campaign, at a physical level, you get a free golden Kidd Krampus pin! There has also been an additional silver pin added to the Add-On section of pledging, so you can fulfil your collecting desires. ✨
There has also been a much needed update to the pin, that is, the added tongue! Now there can be no doubt as to who is on your pin. 👅

On Monty's campaign page, we have revealed the Plushpanions Series 3 theme of Fantasy RPG! No characters or catchy name have been revealed yet, but if you're following me on BackerKit you'll get emails as we grow closer to launch!

📝 Safety Testing 📝
Safety testing is nearing completion and I should receive Krampus' paperwork soon. Unfortunately, with this process, I've learned that jingle bells are coated with a not so eco-friendly coating. So much so, that it actually wouldn't pass safety testing if the bells weren't removed. Thus, you'll still be receiving the jingle bell plush accessory, but sadly it won't have a little jingle feature inside.
On a positive note, there is a chance that in the future custom bells could be made and trialed to pass, but I elected not to in this case, because it would exceed the budget and also take up even more time. This is an accessory feature that I will be workshopping to be "Safety Successful" in the future, so stay tuned!
📦 Shipping 📦
Kidd Krampus is currently being carefully packaged to be mailed to me after this weekend. Once shipped he has a cruise to customs, and then he will arrive to me for inspection, and finally he will arrive home to you! He's almost here!!! 🎉
Today, I also had the great opportunity to take some photos of Kidd in the snow! This was great, and very cold, fun.

📬 What to Expect 📬
When you receive your package, if you pledged for a plush or two, they will be front and center in your box. All goodies such as prints, stickers, and the like, will be packaged carefully underneath. There will be a green cardboard piece protecting your stickers and prints, so if you don't see your goodies right away, don't panic! They're under the green cardboard.

As the shipping date grows closer, I can't help but feel a bit nostalgic for the whole process, since Krampus will be wrapped soon... Not too long ago I was just sketching and designing my first plush, and thanks to you, he was brought to life! Though this first plush venture had its ups and downs, this was still my first plushy as well as crowdfunding campaign, and I will always remember it fondly - truly because of you. 💚
Previously, I said that I would edit together a small video so we could see where we began, and compare it to where we are now. This is a short montage of Krampus our Krampus prototypes that I hope will give anyone looking to design a plush a good idea of what detail, patience and perseverance is required to bring your design to fruition.

📦 Shipping Charges 📦
Since I have received samples of every add-on item as well as the plush, I was able to set up the weights and calculate shipping costs. This took a bit longer than expected, which is why there was a delay in collecting shipping from you. However, now that everything is accounted for, shipping was officially charged on Thursday. Most of you had successful transactions, giving you an email like this:
However, if your shipping charge payment failed, you received an email that starts like this:
The failed payment email provides a direct link to verify and/or update your payment information. Once updated, your card will be charged again and you should be all set! Of course, if you have further issues, please respond to that email and you'll get the help that you're looking for. 😊
🐐 Kidd Krampus 🔔
As of right now, Kidd has had all of his sewn safety labels made and he is passing through safety testing. Currently there is a control group being sent through the safety process, so he may take an extra day or so, but he is currently in line! 🎉 I've also been keeping close contact with the factory, and they will be shipping Krampus out in batches, so that I can receive him more quickly and then mail him to you even more quickly. They've really been doing a fantastic job catching up on the plush process, despite coming in with such a short timeline, and I'm so grateful for them.
I've also been working on getting Krampus' hang tags printed, but I think I'll keep those designs a surprise for you to look forward to when opening your very own Kidd Krampus Plushpanion! 💚
