Hi, I'm Ion, aka Violet Magician. You can find me on Instagram, BlueSky, and Tumblr. I've been making sets of carousel themed pins for a bit now, including a set of cryptid themed ones. You can see these finished pins below.

The new set for this campaign will also use cryptids and folklore creatures, and each one will have a color palette from different pride flags.  I've chosen different creatures from the original set as well, trying to choose from both popular and some more obscure creatures.  Also, as part of pintopia if you back the cross-collab project, Bookshelves for Bibliophiles, you'll get a free pin from each of us! See the pins section of the story for more info on all the pins.

 In addition to the pins to be unlocked as part of this campaign, if you pledge to both this campaign and the cross collab campaign Bookshelves for Bibliophiles, you will receive these 2 pins, a rainbow pride flag funeral mountain terrashot and a flatwoods monster bookshelf for free!

How it works

While the campaign is going you can pledge to any open level and your money will be withdrawn only at the end of the campaign if successful.  The pin designs available will depend upon how much is raised during the campaign (see the pins section for specific pin goals). You can also choose to add on any of the add-ons at any point you choose, which will be in addition to the rewards for your pledge level.  There is also the possibility of new add-ons being added which will be announced in an update if this happens. After the campaign is complete, you will receive a survey which is where you will be able to choose which unlocked design you want and where shipping charges will be calculated.

Shipping will be charged separately through the backerkit surveys sent out after the campaign. Shipping will be charged by weight but generally will be around $5 for the US, $10 for Canada and $20 for any other international orders. Backer is responsible for any VAT fees. Also please note I cannot ship at all to the EU or Northern Ireland due to current shipping rules. For the rest of the UK, sorry, but I cannot ship through backerkit.  You will be able to buy any items left that I will put up for their full price on my etsy after backerkit orders are fulfilled.

The dates for after the campaign ends are approximate, please be aware there may be delays at any point.

Jan 23rd- campaign starts
Feb 13th- campaign ends
Feb 20th-25th- surveys are sent out
Mar 25th- surveys locked and charged for shipping, designs will be approved for manufacturing shortly after
June- pins received, checked for quality and will be shipped out

Early bird backers who back in the first 48 hours will receive a free sticker. The sticker is 4" tall and features a carousel with a pastel rainbow unicorn with holographic effects in the silver lines of the design.  Anyone can also choose this sticker as an add on.  you can also choose older carousel pins as add ons as well as some of my other designs, numbers for those are limited though.
