Thanks for taking the time to look at our campaign! This is our first outing on BackerKit, and we were so happy to be invited to take part in this amazing event. We're not new to creating comics though, we've previously run 33 campaigns on Kickstarter since 2020, plus contributed the art to another 15 campaigns run by other publishers. It's exciting to be included in Comictopia and hopefully all the creators can do really well out of it and get some great exposure for their projects!

Flutters is the story of Hannah, who moves to a new town after some yet-to-be-revealed events in her past. When she meets girl-next-door Chloe and shop owner Luke, she finds herself entangled in a confusing love triangle that could destroy her new life!

The series is written by Isabelle Robyn Hall and drawn by Gary Parkin.

Flutters was originally conceived as a webcomic and has had some success on both Webtoon and Tapas. This will be the first printed edition of the first 4 chapters of the webcomic, in one handy comic book!

Isabelle Robyn Hall discovered Gary Parkin's Vampocalypse comic books on Kickstarter and reached out to see if the two of them could collaborate on an all-ages slice-of-life romance comic, in the vein of Heartstopper, but starring mostly female lead characters. She has the first 16 chapters of Flutters fully-scripted and lives alone with her trusty feline friend Martha.

Gary Parkin formed Underglow Comics in 2020 after being furloughed from his regular day job. He has since written, drawn and colored comic books such as Vampocalypse, Jungle Jade, Model Behavior, Killing Cthulhu, The Unreality and loads more. He loves the hard work of putting comics together, and has so many more new titles planned for the next few years! Flutters is his first work drawing from someone else's script, and he's loving it!

The first 4 chapters of Flutters are collected here in this 44-page comic book. It's black and white (with gray tones), with color covers.

The Hardcover edition of Flutters #1 includes the same content as the comic book, plus a selection of sketches and pin-ups that you won't find anywhere else! It's 56 pages and would look amazing on your bookshelf.

For those of you who like to read their comics on a tablet or computer, our Digital Edition is ideal for you! It contains all the same content as the Hardcover Edition, but in a handy PDF format!

Here we have 5 fantastic pieces of art from Flutters, all by series artist Gary Parkin! We have the cover to issue 1, two of the bonus pin-ups from the hardcover edition of Flutters #1, the Head Shot drawn to promote the Comictopia event, and the page Gary drew for the collaborative comic book Exquisite Corpse, launching as part of Comictopia. The head shot measures 21 x 30cm, and all the other art measures a larger 30 x 42cm. The larger artwork will be mailed in a poster roll to ensure that it doesn't get damaged on its way to you. You'll find all of the original art in our main Pledge Levels section. But get in there quick, because Gary's original art sells out ridiculously fast!

Shipping is a flat price of £3 for the UK, and £7 for the rest of the World. Buy as many items as you want and there won't be any additional shipping. The cost of shipping will be added later, on your Backerkit Survey.
