It's Nicola here and I have good news! The book is finally being printed...
Without bogging you down with all the detail, I had to unexpectedly switch the printer I was originally going to use last month, but I'm super happy with who we have now landed with. They have fantastic environmental credentials and a brilliant track record of producing the most beautiful books. So, I'm now expecting that The Wild Way Oracle Book copies will arrive with me near the end of January... better late than never! 😅🙏
Over the next few weeks I will be preparing everything ready for shipping and will be getting in touch with you regarding your shipping costs that still need to be charged. If you need a reminder of the estimated cost for your region, you can find it here.
I'm still (unbelievably!) waiting for the delivery of the Forest Things mugs and the full quota of Nevis Tweed Bags but I'm hopeful they will arrive soon. In more positive news, the re-printed Luna Phase Cards arrived this week and look fabulous. I think you'll really enjoy using them...

I also want to take this opportunity to share something I've been quietly working on over the holidays and am very excited about...
If you follow The Wild Way on social media, you may have noticed that I've been sharing less and less over the last few months. This is partly because I've been very busy (and dealing with some health issues) but also because, well... it just doesn't feel good being there anymore.
Last week, Meta announced that they are looking at populating their platforms with AI accounts which will share AI-generated content... this, particularly as an artist who has had their work stolen and probably already forms part of datasets for AI training,is the final straw. I don't know about you, but I definitely don't want any part of that creepy experiment! This added to Zuckerberg’s announcement yesterday about further changes that Meta will be making, is confirmation that what I've been working on is arriving at exactly the right time!
So, without further ado...
I'm super excited to announce that The Bothy will soon be available as a monthly subscription designed to both support me and my ongoing work, and provide you with loads of exclusive content that you won't find elsewhere.
You can expect blog posts, sneaky peeks at the projects I'm working on (including The Wild Way Tarot Deck, eep yes!), astrological musings and much more! The Bothy will be a place for me to express my creativity freely, unconstrained by word counts and free from the algorithmic whims (and political motives) of our social media overlords. I'm honestly so excited about this space and the opportunity to connect with you all in a way that feels authentic and wholesome. I'm genuinely overflowing with ideas and can't wait to share everything with you!

This coming year will bring major changes for all of us thanks to each and every outer planet changing signs within a very short space of time. This quite literally never happens, and is likely to feel somewhat jarring, at least initially. My hope is that The Bothy will not only provide all the benefits I've listed above but also a place for you to stay ahead of the astro weather and connect with some lovely like-minded people within our private community chat.

I hope you're all doing well and starting to feel festive as we approach the holiday season! As I mentioned in my last update, there was a strong chance the project would not end up shipping until into next year and unfortunately, I'm here to confirm that for you now.
Initially, I thought this would be because the book would not yet be in my hands but it turns out multiple additional issues have presented themselves since I last wrote to you!
Firstly, I received this extremely exciting delivery from my printer... your Lunar Phase Card Packs! Upon opening them I was absolutely delighted with what a beautiful job they had done. However, on closer inspection I realised that they had mixed up the text and art on six out of eight of the cards. So, the whole lot has been returned to the printer to be reprinted, setting us back by around six weeks.
Then, I received a message from the people who are manufacturing the Nevis Tweed bags, that they hadn't been able to start making anything yet due to a series of staff illnesses, and that they'd only just realised that they wouldn't have enough zips to complete the job. The zip restock will take a minimum of four weeks (this despite them having notice of the order since August).
And finally, the company making all your add-on mugs has just been in touch to say the order will be delayed and they can't give me an estimated dispatch date yet. They unexpectedly had to relocate premises and are unable to manufacture anything until hooked up to internet, and they don't know when that will be!
All this to say, the sky weather is rather challenging for everyone right now. You might have been experiencing this too. We currently have Saturn barely moving having recently stationed direct after a long retrograde period, Mercury at a standstill having turned retrograde just a few hours ago, and Mars slowing right down to station retrograde on 6 December. This is not particularly conducive to getting stuff done, or moving things forward at pace!
I'll be back in touch as soon as I am able tobring you some more positive news and an estimated dispatch date 🙈

Just getting in touch with an update as I'm sure you're probably wondering things are at!
Well, I have some good news... and some bad news. The bad news is that we're working slightly behind the estimated schedule but the good news is that everything is looking amaaaaaazing. I think you are all going to be thrilled with what arrives on your doorstep though unfortunately that will be a little later than we originally anticipated. It turns out that editing and designing a book takes way longer than the actual writing of the book! That said, we're nearly there and it's looking really beautiful. At the moment I'm really hoping to still be able to dispatch prior to the holidays but if I'm being super realistic, it might well be January as there is still quite a bit to sort out. We're working as fast as we can though!
All the other goodies have been arriving or are scheduled to do so soon, and I'm so pleased with how they have turned out. Here are the stickers and bookmarks!
And the journals, which are made from pineapples! 🤯 If you've ordered the Lunar Phase Cards Pack, your brand new oracle cards are being printed as we speak! The little packet I've designed for them is super cute and I think you'll love the journey that our wee mouse friend takes through the lunar cycle. Here's a sneaky peek of the artwork for one of the cards you may not have seen yet... We also need you confirm your items so that we know how many to order, it's really important that we have this information prior to 31 August! If you no longer have your survey email, you can click here for access.
A reminder too that many of the items in the add-on store are unlikely to be available later and if they are, will increase in price! Now is your chance to grab a bargain! You can still make changes to your order.
Most of my energy has been going into writing the remainder of the book since the end of crowdfunding campaign. It's going well and I'm on track to finish the first draft in the next few weeks, then I'll be editing the text before starting to design the layout. There's an awful lot to do but I'm still hoping to stick to the original timetable as best I can!
