Hey Pintopia friends! Hope you all have been well! If you haven't seen, all pins have been UNLOCKED! While I don't have a really concicse update message, I thought I'd ramble a little bit and give you all a heads up as to what to expect when the campaign ends. 

Once the campaign completes it'll be a bit of silence from me. I'm hoping to get surveys out as soon as possible for you to choose your pins and any other goodies you might want to add to your order! I want to get the ball rolling as soon as possible, and have already been working on prepping the survey. In addition to all the items from the campaign, I'm planning on having pre-orders open for some pins I was already planning on self funding!

These will be available as add-ons or for pre-order in the post campaign pre-order store! Please don't fret if you want one of these now and cannot afford them! They will be in my shop at a later date with no price difference between now and then! So if you can't get one now, they'll absolutely be there for later! I just figured to add these pins since I was already planning on ordering them on my own time and getting them bundled in with all the bug friends just makes it easier for me  and my supplier :) More details on each pin will be found in the survey or pre-order shop! 

Much like most of you, I backed a fair amount of projects this time around that I wanted to give one last shoutout to!

Firstly is my partners project, Angels of Extinction! Mary has always put out absolute bangers and this campaign is no exception! I also have a large pin that I had the pleasure of designing as a pin for the campaign as well! I'm particularly excited for the Thylacine, Starry Squid, and all the other guest pins! Next up is Bunni's Mimics Among Us! I adore Mimics so much, something about object creatures always has such a fun allure to it. While I typically go for typical mimics, the Unicorn Mimic is too badass to not pass up. Check it out HERE!

After that I have HoloRaindrop's Monster Match pinup pins! These guys are SO cute~! I love the diverse cast of monsters here, both in design and monster! Also hello?? That demon boy is such a hottie~ I can't say no to him. Hope there's more of these lovely boys in the future! Check out the campaign HERE!

Finally I have Maybel Art's Livecycle of a star! Maybe's art is awesome, the linework and form always has such an intense energy to it and that's really pushed to the limit with these stars! They're so heavenly! Also the constellation stretch goals are awesome, I particularly love the Draco! Find it HERE! 


Some personal ramblings

I cannot thank you all enough for the positivity and support I've received for this project. It's been quite overwhelming to say the least. I've had a rough start to my year and this has been such a fantastic morale boost that I really needed. I had SO much fun prepping for this project and creating designs and poured my heart out into coming up with something I was passionate about. It's always hard putting myself out there, especially when I find I make something that might be a little out there!

I've grown to really love bugs and love creating creature concepts that fit my aesthetic and vibe.  I have a strong interest in all things weird, creepy, eldritch, surreal and thought insects would be the perfect theme for my next campaign.

If you're ever interested in some of my inspo, one of the heavy pieces of inspo for me this time around was my favorite game series Pikmin! I absolutely love the complex, creepy, and alien world the game presents, and the critters are by far my favorite part of the series! 

In addition to Pikmin, I was also heavily inspired by my other favorite series, Blazblue! Which is absolutely nothing like Pikmin in the slightest and is my favorite piece of anime trash ever. Particularly the character Arakune, who is my favorite buggy blobby boy ever. I love this guy so much, we're pretty  much married at this point.

He sports an entire ecosystem of weird and ugly bugs in his body, I mean look at these guys, they're awesome

Anyways, that's my bit of rambling for now. I sometimes have people ask me "what inspires me" and my fave pieces of media def have a big influence on me in a lot of ways!  This ended up being more of a blog post than an update, whoops!
