Project Update: Happy New Year! What's In Store for Hedron 2025?!
Hi folks! Varun, creator of Hedron here.
If you’ve been following along, Hedron has been growing and improving by leaps and bounds! From the launch of The Marketplace to the addition of Macros to directly addressing feedback from our LIVE FIELD TEST at PAXU, things have been crazy busy over here.
But now that things have a moment of pause, we take that time to look at how Hedron is doing holistically. If you’ve been around a while, you know we do this every 6 months or so.
So what do we see? Hedron is doing great in many ways. We have organic user growth, we have systems that are finalizing before being launched to the Marketplace, we have great ideas for the next important features, and we have a bright future ahead as our tech reaches a less buggy and more “polished” state.
But, just in the same way, we also have things we aren’t doing well in. Specifically, while we’ve been focusing on some incredible goals and gathering some seriously important feedback, one thing is super clear: we can’t sustain our current pace of growth. Our crowdfunding gave us the funds to keep the servers online, so we aren’t worried about that – but, having UX experts, Marketing experts, and all those other kinds of experts isn’t easy.
So, if we want to keep up the momentum and keep moving forward, we have to make adjustments to what we focus on in what order. Let’s start with the basic stuff:
- The Mobile App is very important. We made a promise to Role Gate and we plan to see it through. The simplification of our tech stacks will also compound on itself, so we can move faster overall.
- The Marketplace and helping publishers bring their creations to life is very important. We need to make sure that doing so is both easy and encouraged. So we have a lot of planned Quality of Life things to focus on there.
- Our Stretch Goals are important and very nice to have, but they don’t immediately help us. So we should take our time to get those things right and ramp up some other efforts first so we can focus on these things when it's time – this means doing it right the first time around rather than rushing the job.
Hopefully that all makes sense. What does it mean for our timelines? Basically, we are going to push back our Stretch Goals (including Offline Support) by about 2 months. You’ll still get them and if everything goes according to plan, you’ll actually get a higher quality and nicer product at that point. In the place of these goals, we’ll be adding some things like Mobile App, support for our indie creators, and activating the Subscriptions (+ Lifetime memberships).
We have some big ambitions here at Hedron. And hopefully, you can see how if we focus on these other things first, it will multiply our growth rate and bring a better, more-refined Hedron 1.0 for everyone!
As always, thank you for the faith you have had in me as the Creator of this project. Your support has been absolutely incredible and you inspire me every day to work harder than ever before. From the big news in my life to the big updates in Hedron, you all make this endeavor possible.
Updated Timeline
You'll notice we kept the schedule lighter towards the end -- this is because this makes sure we have time to catch up if things get slow for some reason.

Shipping Update
While we’re here, you’re probably wondering: Where’s my package?
As I’ve always been, I will be fully honest here. We’ve been having some issues with our shipping partner. In short, we gave them all the stuff for round 2 of shipping in around November, with the basis that it would be mailed in December. Of course, it’s still not shipped.
I know, I’m as annoyed as you are – probably more, to be honest. And rest assured, we’re doing everything we can to try and get back on track.
Here’s the current status: the packages are supposed to go out today. That means anyone without a dice tray should have their packages by the end of next week (Jan 17). Assuming of course, that nothing else goes awry.
But, we also have a plan if it does. We’ll get to that if it becomes necessary.
Once again, all I can say is that I’m sincerely very sorry. Our choice in partner has proven to be poor in this particular case and I can only promise to do better in the future. Thank you for your continued trust, support, and faith.
Thank you, Hedron Community. You are truly the best.
Signing off for now!
