Frogs that are frogtastic! We all have a favourite frog out there! These enamel pins will cover a handful of the most known and colorful frogs out in the world.
Ribbits everyone and welcome to Frogtastic Frogs, my first crowdfunding campaign for Pintopia 2025 🐸✨
My name is Linda, but most know me as Appel from Studio Appeltjesgroen. I’m an illustrator from the Netherlands with a big love for frogs. Back in 2018-2019 I’ve made a bunch of enamel pins of frogs. Now that it’s 2025, it’s time to bring enamel pins back, this time our favourite semi-realistic frog variants ✨
For this campaign the goal is to fund 11 hard enamel pins and 1 special enamel pin! Each pin will be roughly 3-5 cm (around 1,5-2"), on the back there will be a backstamp with 'studioppeltjesgroen.com' and two pin posts with rubber clutches. The zinc alloy plating colours will vary between gold and black nickel depending on the frog. For the Glass Frog I hope to be able to make it a transparent resin gold plated enamel pin with screen print.
Each pin will be unlocked at a specific funding goal which you can see below. Leftover pins (and possible future restocks) will be available in my online shop and on conventions I attend for €12 each. You get the best deal by backing this project and getting a couple of pins in one pledge. Meet the frogs that'll be hopefully unlocked!
Early frogs who pledge in the first 48 hours of the campaign will receive a sticker sheet set with the 12 frogs on it for free! This freebie will be added to your package without any extra work needed. Just be sure to pledge in the first 48 hours!
During this campaign you can collect two limited freebie pins! By supporting both 'Frogtastic Frogs' and 'Birds of Rotterdam' two freebie pins will be added to your pledge. A cute little duckling from 'Birds of Rotterdam' and a cute little brown frog from 'Frogtastic Frogs'.
The 'Frogtastic Frogs' campaign will for 3 weeks during Pintopia 2025. After the campaign has concluded and successfully funded, surveys are sent out. These surveys allow you to specify which of the uncleared enamel pins you want to receive. (You can also add any possible extra add-ons you might want during this survey.) After two weeks the campaign funds will become available to me and I will place the final enamel pin order for all to be made. The rest of the timeline is an estimation with buffers. The plan is to have everything shipped out during or before June 2025.

My name is Linda but I’m known online as Appel from Appeltjesgroen. I’m a Dutch illustrator and product designer with a love for frogs, birds, books and games. Ever since being a young kid I’ve been bringing frogs back to show my parents. I’ve been using frogs are my inspiration for all that I make and this crowdfunding campaign is a step outside what I usually do. Still frogs, but more realistic and not mixed with my original character Floris the Frog.
Since 2016 I’ve been working as Studio Appeltjesgroen and I attend conventions in the Netherlands and Germany. Where I sell the froggy stationery I designed with Floris the Frog on it. I started making merchandise to fill up the gap of not finding frog stationery and merch. Stickers, stickersheets, washi tape, wood pins and back in 2018 I also made a few enamel pins. In 2024 I made more stationery and added frog socks to my shop.

The initial goal of €500 will help fund the production costs of the Frogtastis Frogs enamel pins. Not just the production costs but also the shipping costs and shipping supplies needed to get the pins to your home safely. After the initial goal has been met the goal moves up to the next possible enamel pin design we could unlock with your support. This keeps going until the end of the campaign time, which is 23rd of February.
With Backerkit’s ‘pledge now, pay later’ system, you can adjust your pledge to upgrade, downgrade, or even cancel before the end of the campaign. Pledging can only be done by use of a credit card. As Backerkit is an all-or-nothing platform, if the initial goal is not met, we will not have the funds to make these pins. You will only be charged if the campaign reaches the initial goal.
During the first 48 hours, you can pledge for Early Frog pledge level and receive a sticker sheet with all the Frogtastic Frogs on it.
Note: if you cancel your Early Frog pledge, you won’t be able to re-pledge for Early Frog again after the first 48 hours.
