Why should swords and staves get all the fun? This and That started as a series of PDFs for D&D 5e, Pathfinder 2e, and Savage Worlds. Each mini-book explores a piece of mundane equipment, like locks, rope, and books.
For each piece of gear, we include real-world history, a fantasy spin, new magic items, new monsters, and more!
Now for the first time, we're collecting the first eight topics in the This and That line as a single print volume.
In addition to the print collection, you can get a PDF collection of all of the This and That books released so far.
Both of these collections contain new appendices to make referencing them easier, including monsters by CR/level and environment and magic items by rarity/level.Â
We want to keep this campaign simple, so we only have a few stretch goals to improve the quality of the book and for small side projects. The first two are listed below. If we hit those have a few more up our sleeves.

The Chweong Manuscript first appeared in Secret and Cypher and includes a table of random effects. If we hit reach $10,000 in funding, we'll release a bonus PDF expanding the random effects to a d100 table.
We’ve run a lot of crowdfunding campaigns in the past. For those who missed them, we’ve got add-ons from some of our most popular ones to give you a chance to catch up.

Shipping will be calculated after the campaign is complete based on actual shipping costs, and you will be charged for the shipping via the pledge manager.
We cannot give exact figures now, but we estimate a single book to ship for around $5 USD to United States residents, and anywhere from $10 to $30 for international backers. Multiple books or add-ons will increase shipping costs, though are also more efficient.
All but one of the books collected the print book have been released as PDFs, so nearly all the writing, editing, art, and layout is done. We expect to have Cart and Wagon completed shortly after the crowdfunding campaign ends.Â
After Cart and Wagon is complete, we just need to complete the appendices and finalize formatting for the print book.
We hope to have the print books out to backers by October 2023, though any number of factors could cause delays.
