Beneath the waves, a melody reverberates through the sea...
Selkies are shapeshifters from Irish folklore; Shifting between seal and human by donning or removing their coats, they are often involved in tragic love stories. They sing out to their land-dwelling lovers from the ocean, much like sirens in Greek mythology! I wanted to play into the musical aspect of selkies for this campaign, as well as explore different types of seals!
This brings us to Song of the Selkies- a pin collection of selkies from different times and places, as well as the music they bring with them!
A majority of funds will go toward creating the pins themselves! Around 10% of what is made here will go to fees related to running this campaign (which is automatically taken from the final amount by Backerkit and Stripe).
If by some chance any extra money is made through this campaign, it will be used to support the creator during the creation period (with bills, food, etc)!

The following schedule is tentative and subject to change at any time! It mostly exists to give you an idea of the timeline between campaign to shipping! Pins may be delayed or arrive much sooner than planned!
June 16th, 2026: Campaign launches! Pledging begins!
July 2nd, 2026: Campaign ends!
Mid-to-late July, 2026: Surveys go out to collect your pin selections and shipping information! BackerKit sends the funds so the order can be placed. Pin orders will be placed with the manu!
October-November, 2026: Pins are manufactured and shipped to us!
December, 2026-January, 2027: Shipping charges are collected and your items are sent to you!
While items may arrive way sooner, please allow up to 4-6 months for items to be manufactured and sent our way!
Delays may happen due to various reasons such as manufacturing delays, tariffs, shipping during bad weather, etc. Please be aware all dates are tentative!
