Awesome stuff! I'm loving Hit the Ground Running from a first read of it, it's a really novel way to kick a campaign off with a bang. All of the Garrus settlements are so wonderfully awful!
Caught a few errors: "he's willing so sell to a desperate buyer" should be "he's willing to sell to a desperate buyer"; missing periods at the end of the second subsection under Bounties and final paragraph under Daedalus Station; 'Technical' is misplaced in the Desert Rover vehicle writeup; stats for a 'Sundown Vigilante' are mentioned but don't exist; the Tent Farms' consequence (a 00 Wound result) is nonsensical with most of those results (get knocked down, drop held item, vomit); Religious Camp's consequence mentions critical failure but doesn't call for a roll.
Feasting on the main Daedalus Station book before bed - thank you for such an awesome project! I couldn't help myself, and rolled up a race, but wound up calling it after ten rounds (rather than the 8-segment full lap) - final result: Team Icarus wins, a promising Burgie's prospect and Prince Hank IV sharing second, and Steven Rictar having disastrously collapsed from a segment 5 lead to a dead last final position in segment 2. Super fun stuff! I'd definitely suggest a GM roll any race players want to attend in advance.
Thank you for bringing up the races as well, looking at it after reading your recap I've realized that a change I made to the racing rules was never added in the working pdf afterwards! It would have been a real pain if it never made it into the shipped version haha.
Here's the way that the races are meant to work: Instead of only moving forward a space when succeeding on a Speed Roll, all teams automatically move forward one (unless stunned, shot at etc.) space each round but move two spaces instead if they succeed. This makes races a lot faster and a lot more exciting - they always finish within 8 rounds, usually closer to 5.
Glad to help <3 And that racing change is a big help, knocks off a lot of tedium - and it does mean poor Steven Rictar was cheated of his win in my test race above!

Thank you for these notes! I'll make sure they're fixed before the next update.
