Hey all!

Last weekend I received the next version of my book (digitally) from my book designer. She was laying out all the words onto the pages in a cute way. It all looks amazing! 

I got to read the book (on my iPad) to my kids and husband. It was such a sweet milestone. I almost had tears in my eyes. 

I sent the document off to the professional proofreader yesterday and she got her notes back to me today. Such a fast turnaround! My book designer will be working on those minor fixes this week and then the book will be ready to send to the printer!

Hey backers!

I'm so excited to share that the illustrations for Ellowyn's Kitchen Chaos are complete! It was a lot of time and love that I put into the pages and I am so eager to share them with you. 

My book designer is working on laying out all the text to look super cute. I'm sure she will be done very soon. 

The next step is to have a professional proofreader look it all over to catch any mistakes that my book designer and I may have missed (somehow, when reading and re-reading the text over and over about a million times).

Hello! Thank you all so much for your patience as I make Ellowyn’s Kitchen Chaos the best it can be. 

I’m currently illustrating the last two pages and the only thing left to illustrate will be the back cover. 

I’ve purchased the copyrights, the ISBN number, and the barcode to hold the ISBN number for scanning by cashiers.

The story is done being edited and my book designer is currently working on laying all the text on the pages in a cute and fun way. 

When all that is done, the next step is to have a proofreader check it for any errors that may have been missed by myself or my editor since we’ve looked at it all a million times and can be blind to errors. 

After that, I’ll be able to send it off to the printer for them to print me a sample to approve. 

There is a TON of work involved in bringing a book to life and I really appreciate you all following along on this journey.

Hey folks! I just wanted to pop in to give an update on progress for Ellowyn’s Kitchen Chaos. The illustrations are coming along great! I’m still working on them and making them the best I can. The process takes much longer than I anticipated. It takes me an average of 13 hours to illustrate each page. And there are 32 pages in the book.

I apologize for my timeline being so wrong. I’m new to this process and I’m learning so much. Thank you so much for your patience!
