I hope you're all doing well! I wanted to give you a quick update on where things are with your enamel pins. First off, THANK YOU for your patience as I’ve been getting everything sorted—life threw a few curveballs my way (moving, a car accident, you name it!), but things are finally back on track!
Shipping Prices & Address Locking:
Over the next week, I’ll be entering the shipping prices, email folks to review the upcoming charge, and charging for shipping shortly after. Once that’s done, I’ll be locking in addresses, so if you need to make any changes, now’s your chance! Keep an eye on your inbox for the charge and address lock notifications.
A Few Life Updates:
I’ll be out of town for a wedding until October 1st 🎉, but don’t worry—most of the Quirky Birds are already packaged up and ready to fly out as soon as I’m back. You can expect to see them heading your way shortly after I return!

We’re just waiting for the final touches on our enamel pins. The base is ready and looking fabulous – just a bit more magic (enamel and metal) to go! Here’s a sneak peek:
Fun Bird Fact: Did you know that parrots are known to have the intelligence of a 5-year-old human? These clever birds can solve puzzles, understand shapes, and even mimic our speech!
Next Up: Once the enamel pins arrive, I can get the shipping numbers sorted out. I'll share an update when shipping fees are added so you can review them before being charged shipping. Then, these cute little birds will flap their way to your front door.

Production Update: Production has taken off, and it's processing. I'm hoping things will be ready to ship out within the next couple of months.

Card Charges: I’m charging cards for folks with pending charges at the moment; you should have received a message from BackerKit about this a couple of days ago.
Shipping Charges: Once I have the items in hand, I’ll sort out the shipping charges and share them with you before sending them out. We’re winging our way to the finish line!
Survey Completion: I plan to close surveys for unresponsive backers at the end of July. So please complete your survey if you haven’t done so already. Don’t leave us hanging on a perch!

Surveys Are Out Now!
Please fill out your surveys as soon as possible. Once most of the surveys are in, I can get an accurate count of how many pins to order and share this with production. I’m aiming to have the numbers by June 20th but will leave the survey open until July for those who haven’t responded yet.
Shipping Information
We'll collect the credit card payment upfront, so you don't have to enter that data again, and it will be stored safely. About a month or two before fulfillment, I’ll add the shipping prices and share an update for you to review before we charge.
At the beginning of next week, you’ll receive an email from us with a special link to your BackerKit survey. It’s important to respond to your survey as quickly as you can since we need this information to fulfill your rewards.
You don’t need to create a BackerKit account to fill out your survey. When you receive the email with the survey, click the survey link to respond. Answer the questions about your reward preferences, provide shipping information, and purchase add-on items if you like. You don’t have access to this survey link yet, but it will be available soon via email!
After you respond to your survey, you can go back later and change your responses at any time before we close the surveys and get our final counts.
Shipping Charges Later:
Due to the volatility of shipping prices globally right now, shipping fees for this project will be calculated at a later date once we have the best estimates for everyone. We plan to enter & charge backers for shipping a month or two before fulfillment when we have better estimates of what it will cost to ship backers rewards. We will alert backers when shipping costs are finalized & before we charge your cards in your BackerKit survey. We will keep you informed all along the way!

If you need to review your information or pledge status, you can return to your survey by clicking the link in your survey email or requesting your survey link under "Lost your survey?" on our BackerKit project page at https://wingin-it-quirky-bird-pins.backerkit.com.
If you used your Facebook credentials to log in to your account, the BackerKit survey is sent to the email address you use for your Facebook account. If you have another email address that you prefer to use, please contact support at https://wingin-it-quirky-bird-pins.backerkit.com/faq.
