Project Update: Tons of packages lost by the courier -> re-shipments in progress
Here we are again with another disheartening update that we really wish we didn’t have to share. This campaign feels like it’s never-ending and just won’t wrap up.
Unfortunately, our courier has misplaced a very large batch of shipments, which included all the last remaining packages for this campaign (some of which were actually also orders from our shop).
This has resulted in a significant financial loss for us: amounting to thousands of euros, considering that some of these packages were among the largest we sent out (valued at €900, €600, €400, and more, each. And let’s not forget the cost of packaging!) To add to the frustration, we won’t be receiving any reimbursement at all, as the courier won’t take responsibility.
This also means a huge loss of our time, as we invested so much effort in packaging these items with care, including freebies and handwritten notes of thanks —as we always try to do. Now, we find ourselves here, having to inform you of yet another setback, which only adds to our growing distress...
We can't even fathom how they lost such a large, bright blue package. “Impossible to locate the shipment,” mysteriously lost within Italy itself… not even during an international route. And all our shipping company is offering us, is a total refund of €11 (€1 per kg). It’s simply absurd as it doesn't even cover the costs of its own pick-up and domestic shipping itself.
On our end, we are already working on re-packaging and re-sending all the lost packages, of course. So, please know that you’ll be receiving another email with new tracking information in the coming days (some of you may have already received it). We are truly sorry for this situation and the additional wait after what has already been an unusually long delay so far. We can’t thank you enough for your patience. Your support and understanding are what keep us afloat during these tough times.
We apologize for the heavy tone of this update… but we simply can’t sugarcoat it. This has been yet another tough blow this year —especially after everything we’ve been going (and we're still going) through on the health front, for both our pets and ours. It really feels like the universe is telling us to take a step back and do nothing anymore.
