Welcome to COUPLE ME CRYPTIDS! Here is where you'll meet the cryptid of your dreams or maybe you want to play match maker yourself and help a couple of our lovely ghouls find their own match. We have 8 lovely mystery contestants who can't wait to meet each and every one of you but first let's get to know our lovely hosts.

Queerly Departed are three spooky queers who make merch for the spooky and queer community. They have always had an interest in cryptids through folklore and movies like the Mothman Prophecies, but what they really enjoy about these little cuties is how queer folks connect with cryptids. There's something very gender about a 7 ft tall moth creature terrifying a small West Virginia town.

Loyal viewers will remember this isn't their first Cryptid project. The first one was above and beyond successful. They also did another successful pin project where they made pride flag paw pins. They knew they wanted to revisit the cryptids but wanted to do something different than their previous project.

That's where our 8 cryptid cuties come in. They're all just as popular as the subject of the last cryptid project but with a twist. Instead of pins our dateable contestants come in the form of keychains! Yes Keychains that thing that we ALL have dangling from our keys, and now you too can go home with one of these cryptids guarding your keys- but try not to get just one otherwise their little magnetic hearts will be lonely.

Yes these little cryptids come magnetized together to complete the heart held out at the end of their hands, wings or... paws. Will you keep them together? Who will have the other half of your cryptid couple? A friend, a family member, a loved one? Maybe your couple is a trio? Maybe they're a whole cryptid crew?

The Keychains themselves will be hard enamel black nickel with the #13 hook clasp as the keychain hook and small dark pink hearts that will magnetize your favorite cryptids together. They will be the same size as most of our enamel pins as well 1.5 inches.

Don't worry all you pin lovers out there. We still made sure you all have a sweet little treat. To go with each cryptid keychain we're whipped up CRYPTID CANDIES in the style of sweet hearts. Yes sweet hearts that popular chalky candy that we all enjoyed around Valentines Day. They're the perfect sweet treat to go home with the cryptid date of your choice.

Introducing the Power Couple for the ages ! One is 7 feet tall and more caked up then a bakery, the other is all legs and the size of a toddler. Will you take them home together ?

Each Mothman comes with a Powdered Purple flavored candy pin.

Each Fresno comes with a Ghostly Grainy flavored candy pin

This contestant is the perfect date to take out for a walk in the woods. They certainly know more then the average burly woodsmen and could forage a way into any heart.

Each Bigfoot comes with an Offensive Orange candy flavored pin

This certainly isn't this contestants first rodeo but they'll be sure to show you the ropes if it's yours. They'd love to some day live on a ranch together with one to a dozen little cow pokes running around. 

Each Jackalope comes with a Branlike Banana flavored candy pin

This contestant may look a little scary but they're definitely here for hugs. I mean look at those arms! They'd love to go look at cool rocks with you and maybe wear some cute dresses together.

Each Flatwoods Monster comes with a Mealy Mint flavored candy pin

This contestant is out of this world and the love they offer is to the moon and back. They'd love to stay up all night and watch crappy scifi movies together, maybe even hold your hand while you tell them about government conspiracies.

Each Gray Alien comes with a Abrasive Azure flavored candy pin

 

 
This contestant is one hell of a date. Their dream date is having a romantic time burning the town down and maybe having a quick bite to eat after. They're always down for anything weird.

Each Jersey Devil comes with a Chalky Chocolate flavored candy pin

This contestant is a little blue but a date from you should cheer them up. They're always down to cry at romcoms with you, and go for a swim after. Maybe you could even talk about what's the best lotion to use for dry skin.

Each Squonk comes with a Pulverized Pink flavored candy pin

 

Rewards will ship via USPS with tracking.

Shipping will be charged after the campaign ends, as part of the Backerkit survey. It is not included in the pledge amount.

Notice for international backers: Backers are responsible for any customs fees or taxes that may be placed on international orders. No refunds or replacements can be given if your package is lost or returned to the sender as a result of not paying these fees.

Once the campaign ends, surveys will be sent to pick out your cryptids and other goodies. It will be sent to the email associated with your backerkit, so please make sure you can access it.

The survey will allow for add-ons to be included post survey in case we unlock something you'd love to see- but be sure to add them during the campaign to get us to our goals and unlock more designs!

Manufacturing times are approximate and delays are possible. Backers will be notified if there are any unexpected delays, updates, or other issues.

If you need to lower or cancel your pledge later, you can do so any time before pledges are processed to avoid being charged.
